Schönberg Observation Tower Paper Model - by Ausschneide Bogen

This paper model of the Schönberg Observation Tower is offered by the German website Ausschneide Bogen. 

The model can be downloaded in two different scales: 1/87 (H0 scale), which occupies six printed sheets, and 1/160 (N scale), two sheets, with internal cardboard reinforcement being recommended for the 1/87 scale model. 

Around 1894, while hiking on the Schönberg plateau, hiking friends Louis Laiblin, Eugen Nägele and Joseph Krauß came up with the idea of building an observation tower there. 

The paper manufacturer Laiblin made the construction possible with a generous donation and so the "Pfullinger Unterhose" was built between 1905 and 1906 according to plans by the architect Professor Theodor Fischer for 17,000 marks (equivalent to around 200,000 euros today) as first observation tower to be built in reinforced concrete in Germany. 

In 1926, the wooden shingles were replaced by a copper roof. In the spring of 1945, the French army damaged the roof of the upper tower with an air raid. Repairs took place in 1949 and renovation work took place in 1965 and 1982. 

The approximately 28 meter high tower can be reached via 108 steps and is constantly open. My thanks to my friend Jo Kizinger, from the USA, for this nice find.

Este modelo de papel da Torre de Observação de Schönberg é oferecido pelo site Ausschneide Bogen, da Alemanha. 

O modelo pode ser baixado em duas escalas diferentes: 1/87 (escala H0), que ocupa seis folhas impressas e 1/160 (escala N), duas folhas, sendo recomendado um reforço interno de papelão no modelo em escala 1/87. 

Por volta de 1894, enquanto caminhavam no planalto de Schönberg, os amigos caminhantes Louis Laiblin, Eugen Nägele e Joseph Krauß tiveram a ideia de construir ali uma torre de observação. 

O fabricante de papel Laiblin tornou a construção possível com uma generosa doação e assim o "Pfullinger Unterhose" foi construído entre 1905 e 1906, de acordo com os planos do arquitecto Professor Theodor Fischer por 17.000 marcos (equivalentes a cerca de 200.000 euros hoje) como primeira torre de observação a ser construída em concreto armado da Alemanha. 

Em 1926, as telhas de madeira foram substituídos por um telhado de cobre. Na primavera de 1945, o exército francês danificou o telhado da torre superior com um ataque aéreo. Os reparos ocorreram em 1949 e as obras de renovação ocorreram em 1965 e 1982. 

A torre de aproximadamente 28 metros de altura pode ser alcançada através de 108 degraus e está constantemente aberta. Meus agradecimentos ao meu amigo Jo Kizinger, dos EUA, por este achado bem legal.

Volkswagen Beetle Papercraft - Beta Version - by Papermau Templates In PDF And 3D Models In Pepakura And Sketchup Download Now!

This is a Beta (test) version of a classic Volkswagen Beetle. I don't know when I'll finish it, so I'm sharing this first test version without textures and also the 3D models that can be viewed with the free versions of Pepakura Designer and Sketchup. 

Despite being a Beta model, I can guarantee that the dimensions are correct, as I used blueprints of a 1965 VW 1300 as a basis. 

In addition to the PDF templates for anyone who wants to try putting together this Beta version and the 3D models that can help with this task, I will also leave links to download both Pepakura and Sketchup. Have a good weekend to everyone.

Esta é uma versão Beta (de teste) de um clássico Volkswagen Beetle. Eu não sei quando vou terminá-lo, então estou compartilhando essa primeira versão de teste sem texturas e também os modelos 3D que podem ser visualizados com as versões gratuítas do Pepakura Designer e do Sketchup. 

Apesar de ser um modelo Beta, eu posso garantir que as dimensões estão corretas, pois eu usei como base blueprints de um VW 1300 de 1965.

"Floating bathing establishment “Kaiserbad” - In the 19th and early 20th centuries, Mondorf regularly had winter guests in the Siegarm “Alte Sieg” - today's Mondorf harbor. 

The harbor was not only used as a transshipment point by fishermen and raftsmen, but also by floating bathing establishments. 

These were removed from the Rhine stream during the winter months to protect them from ice. 

The craft sheet represents the reconstruction of a floating bathing establishment around 1900. The model contains 295 parts and is in 1/100 scale. 

The craft sheet has a stand and the roof is removable to show the interior with the floating cage." - Kallboys

"Estabelecimento balnear flutuante “Kaiserbad” - No século 19 e no início do século 20, Mondorf recebia regularmente visitantes de inverno no Siegarm “Alte Sieg” - hoje porto de Mondorf. 

O porto era utilizado não só como ponto de transbordo por pescadores e jangadeiros, mas também por estabelecimentos balneares flutuantes. 

Estes eram removidos do rio Reno durante os meses de inverno para protegê-los do gelo. 

A ficha artesanal representa a reconstrução de um estabelecimento balnear flutuante por volta de 1900. 

O modelo contém 295 peças e está na escala 1/100. A construção possui um suporte e o teto é removível para mostrar o interior com a gaiola flutuante." - Kallboys

Mondorf Jewels - ​Sacred Chapel Paper Model In 1/20 Scale by Kallboys

Offered by our talented German friends at Kallboys, this papercraft of a kind of memorial, a roadside chapel, is in 1/20 scale and occupies four printed sheets. 

Regarding this papercraft, they said: - "Sacred houses are small roadside chapels or crosses that wealthy families built around 1900 out of piety or in memory of deceased family members. There are several of them in Mondorf. 

The yellow and red brick “Scholl-Heiligenhäuschen” is a real gem on Unterdorfstrasse, near Adenauerplatz. 

This papercraft is the first in a new series called Mondorfer Kleinode (Jewels of Mondorf). The series aims to showcase small buildings, works of art and monuments that are part of Mondorf's urban landscape. 

You pass them many times and rarely notice them. We would like to show the history of these small buildings here, because they deserve as much attention as large buildings." - Kallboys

Church Of The Cross In Pilsum Paper Model In 1/160 Scale by Papierdenkmal

Created by the talented German designer and model maker Jens Neuhaus, from the website Papierdenkmal and made up of 160 pieces organized on eight sheets of paper, this is the 1/160 scale paper model of the Church of the Cross in Pilsum, Germany. 

Although the instructions are written in German, there are very detailed and numbered diagrams that will leave no doubt for anyone interested in assembling this beautiful architectural model. 

Regarding this model, Mr. Neuhaus said: - "Among the many historic churches of the East Frisian community of Krummhörn, one stands out in particular: the Evangelical Reformed Church of the Cross in the center of the small town of Pilsum. 

The fence 2 km from the North Sea, the late Romanesque building was built in the 13th century on a terp, a settlement hill directly over the water. 

The cross-shaped church not only offered protection from storms, but its powerful crossing tower was also a defensive tower and a landmark for maritime navigation.

However, the crowded building ground ensured that the tower leaned already in the Middle Ages and its bells were moved to a separate two-story tower. 

After extensive restoration work between 1976 and 1994, the interior of the brick building now contains design elements from various eras: in addition to the bronze baptismal font from 1469 and the wooden pulpit from 1704, the organ built in 1694 by Valentin Ulrich Grotian It is particularly worth seeing and hearing. 

The present arch model allows us to recreate the Kreuzkirche, a listed building, in the same state of construction as it has been since its restoration."

Criado pelo talentoso designer e modelista alemão Jens Neuhaus, do site Papierdenkmal e composto de 160 peças organizadas em oito folhas de papel, este é o modelo de papel na escala 1/160 da Igreja da Cruz de Pilsum, na Alemanha. 

Embora as instruções estejam escritas em alemão, há diagramas bem detalhados e numerados que não deixarão dúvidas para todos aqueles que se interessarem em montar este belo modelo arquitetônico. 

A respeito deste modelo, o Sr. Neuhaus disse: - "Entre as muitas igrejas históricas da comunidade de Krummhörn, na Frísia Oriental, uma se destaca em particular: a Igreja Evangélica Reformada da Cruz, no centro da pequena cidade de Pilsum. 

A cerca de 2 km do Mar do Norte, o edifício românico tardio foi construído no século XIII num terp, que é uma colina de assentamento diretamente sobre a água. 

A igreja em forma de cruz não só oferecia proteção contra tempestades, mas sua poderosa torre de travessia também era uma torre defensiva e um marco para a navegação marítima. 

No entanto, o terreno de construção pantanoso fez com que que a torre se inclinasse já na Idade Média e seus sinos fossem transferidos para uma torre separada de dois andares. 

Após extensos trabalhos de restauro entre 1976 e 1994, o interior do edifício de tijolos contém agora elementos de design de várias épocas: além da pia batismal de bronze de 1469 e do púlpito de madeira de 1704, o órgão construído em 1694 por Valentin Ulrich Grotian é uma das coisas particularmente que valem a pena ver e ouvir.
