Call of Duty - Modern Warfare - Mogadishu 1993 & Afghan Disposal Yard 437 Dioramas In 1/250 Scale - by R & P Models

Created by Czech designers and modelers Ringo and Pips, from R & P Models website, here are two dioramas in 1/250 scale inspired on "Call of Duty - Modern Warfare" videogames series. 

Mogadishu diorama occupies only one sheet of paper, while Afghan diorama, with all its elements, occupies two sheets.

Kopu Lighthouse Paper Model In 1/250 Scale - by Tomáš Hrebík

Created by Czech designer and modeler Tomáš Hrebík and offered by ABC Magazine, a Czech publisher, this is the paper model version in 1/250 scale of the Kopu Lighthouse, one of the oldest lighthouses in the world. 

Built in 1531, it is located on the coast of the island of Hiiumaa, in Estonia. Its 36 meter tower is supported by massive pillars oriented according to the four cardinal points. 

All built with limestone, the access to the top was originally made by external wooden stairs. 

In 1997, the lighthouse lost its main function of guiding navigation, when it was replaced by radar equipment.

Criado pelo designer tcheco Tomáš Hrebík e oferecido por ABC Magazine, uma editora checa, esta é a versão em papel na escala 1/250 do Farol de Kopu, um dos faróis mais antigos do mundo. 

Construído em 1531, está localizado na costa da ilha de Hiiaaa, na Estônia. Sua torre de 36 metros é apoiada por pilares massivos orientados de acordo com os quatro pontos cardeais. 

Todos construído com calcário, o acesso ao topo era feito originalmente por escadas de madeira externas. 

Em 1997, o farol perdeu sua função principal de orientar a navegação, quando foi substituído por equipamentos de radar.

The scale is 1/250 and you will need 12 sheets of paper to build this.

The Battle Of The Nations Monument In Leipzig Paper Model - by AGK

This really beautiful and rare paper model was preserved and is shared by AGK German website. The Monument to the Battle of the Nations is a monument in Leipzig, Germany to the 1813 Battle of Leipzig, also known as the Battle of the Nations. Paid for mostly by donations and by the city of Leipzig, it was completed in 1913 for the 100th anniversary of the battle, at a cost of 6,000,000 Goldmark. The monument commemorates Napoleon's defeat at Leipzig, a crucial step towards the end of hostilities in the War of the Sixth Coalition, which was seen as a victory for the German people, although Germany as we know it did not exist at that time. There were German-speakers fighting on both sides, as Napoleon's troops also included conscripted Germans from the French-occupied left bank of the Rhine as well as from the Confederation of the Rhine. The structure is 91 metres (299 ft) tall. It contains over 500 steps to a viewing platform at the top, from which there are spectacular views across the city and environs. The structure makes extensive use of concrete, although the facings are of granite. The monument is widely regarded as one of the best examples of Wilhelmine architecture. It is said to stand on the spot of some of the bloodiest fighting, from where Napoleon ordered the retreat of his army.

Este belo e raro modelo de papel foi preservado e é compartilhado pelo site alemão AGK. O monumento da Batalha das Nações é um dos monumentos históricos mais conhecidos e o maior da Alemanha. Com quase 100 metros de altura, simboliza e representa a paz pela vitória dos Aliados contra as tropas de Napoleão na batalha de 18 de Outubro de 1813. Ele foi construído em 1913, cem anos depois de ocorrida a batalha nos arredores de Leipzig entre as tropas napoleônicas e as da Santa Aliança, formada pela Prússia, Áustria e Rússia, onde morreram 115 mil soldados, número três vezes maior do que a de toda a população da cidade no ano de 1813. Hoje em dia, o monumento da Batalha das Nações é muito visitado por famílias e turistas, enfim, por pessoas oriundas de toda a parte do mundo.
