Christmas Time - A Vintage Nativity Scene Paper Model - by Unknown

When assembling the 3D version of this vintage Nativity Scene on Sketchup, I was surprised how beautiful and full of details it is.

I don`t know who designed and even from wich country it came, but I have this saved in my HD a lot of time, so I decided make a PDF version with vivid colors and share here at the blog.

I started building this crib last year, but for a number of reasons, I ended up putting it to one side. I'll see if I can finish it this year, before Christmas.

I'm laminating the pieces to be in 3D and I also intend to light up the diorama. Soon I will post some pictures of my advances.

Ao montar a versão 3D deste antigo Presépio Natalino em Sketchup, eu fui surpreendido pela beleza e quantidade de detalhes que ele tem.

Eu não sei quem o desenhou e nem mesmo de qual país veio, mas eu tenho isso salvo no meu HD muito tempo, então eu decidi fazer uma versão em PDF com as cores revividas e compartilhar aqui no blog. 

Eu comecei a montar esse presépio no ano passado, mas por uma série de motivos, acabei deixando de lado. Vou ver se consigo terminá-lo este ano, antes do Natal.

Estou laminando as peças, para ficarem em 3D e também pretendo iluminar o diorama. Em breve postarei algumas fotos de meus avanços.

Custom Planetary Rover Explorer Paper Model - by Genet ModelsCustom by James Catalano

My friend, the North American designer and modeler James Catalano created this very nice and original paper model of a Planetary Rover Explorer and kindly sent me a lot of photos of his work. 

He said: - "One of my other hobbies is making board games. I recently had an idea of making a board game out of a classic Atari 8-bit computer game called Koronis Rift. In the game, you drive around in your rover to find and loot various alien hulks. 

My papercraft rover is my version of the rover that the player would use in the game. The rover would be photographed to be turned into a simple paper box playing piece/token. And to be used in any title graphics for the game. 

My Custom Planetary Rover Explorer was created by "kit bashing" 3 different papercraft models. I don't have any instructions for this model, as it was put together on the fly. The many pictures I included may help someone make this and see where the various parts go.

Meu amigo, o designer e modelista norte-americano James Catalano criou este modelo de papel super original de um Planetary Rover Explorer e gentilmente enviou-me um monte de fotos de seu trabalho. 

Ele disse: - "Um dos meus vários hobbies é criar jogos de tabuleiro Recentemente, tive a idéia de fazer um jogo de tabuleiro de um game de computador do clássico Atari 8-bit chamado Koronis Rift. 

No jogo, você pilota um Rover para encontrar e saquear várias arenas alienígenas. meu papercraft deste rover é a versão do veículo usado no jogo. 

Meu Planetary Rover Explorer personalizado foi criado fazendo um "kitbashing/mistura" de 3 modelos de papel diferentes. Eu não tenho instruções para este modelo, já que eu fui o montando ao acaso, mas as muitas fotos que eu incluí podem ajudar quem quiser tentar montar um.

Originally published in Citadel Journal in 1986, this is the Medieval House With Veranda, a diorama paper model inspired on the universe of Warhammer Fantasy (or Warhammer: Age of Sigmar or just Warhammer), a fantasy fiction universe created in 1983 by the British company Games Workshop, known for its miniature games and wargames. 

This fictional universe is explored in books, magazines, electronic games and board games. Warhammer's universe is inspired by the works of JR Tolkien, Michael Moorcock, and Robert E. Howard, creator of Conan the Barbarian. 

The map, its geographic regions, and the factions that populate the fictional world are inspired by various events in European history and civilizations in world history.

Originalmente publicado na revista Citadel Journal em 1986, esta é a Casa Medieval com Sacada, um modelo de papel/diorama inspirado no universo de Warhammer Fantasy (ou Warhammer: Age of Sigmar ou somente Warhammer), um universo de ficção fantástica criado em 1983 pela empresa britânica Games Workshop, conhecida pelos seus jogos de miniaturas e wargames.
