If you don't speak German, you might be curious to know what the little dragon says in the first image. What is written is: "Hi, I'm Lazuli. Do you want to play with me?"

Rumah Gadang - A Traditional Indonesian House Paper Model by Paper Replika

A really beautiful architectural paper model created by Indonesian designer Julius Perdana, from Paper Replika website. 

Julius said: - "Rumah Gadang or Big House in English are Minangkabau tribe traditional house, from West Sumatra. This model was inspired by a Royal Palace at Pagaruyung. There are two styles of Rumah Gadang, one level and multiple levels. Multiple level usually found on an aristocrat house. Rumah Gadang traditionally owned by a woman in the family, and will be pass to her daughter because Minangkabau is a matrilineal culture."

Rumah Gadang - Traditional Indonesian House - The Real Thing

Um modelo de papel arquitetônico muito bonito criado pelo designer indonésio Júlio Perdana, do site Paper Replika. 

Julius disse: - "Rumah Gadang ou Casa Grande é uma casa tradicional da tribo Minangkabau, da Sumatra Ocidental. Este modelo foi inspirado em um Palácio Real em Pagaruyung. Existem dois estilos de Rumah Gadang, de um nível e com níveis múltiplos. Múltiplos níveis normalmente são encontrados em casas da alta aristocracia. A Rumah Gadang tradicionalmente é propriedade de uma mulher da família e passa de mãe para filha porque os Minangkabau são uma cultura matrilinear."

Here I present a very unusual paper toy created by Colombian designer Machintoy. 

Starting with the theme, a very grumpy rabbit that says in the template in Spanish that "hates you". 

Another thing that stands out is that this paper toy has a mechanism that makes it move its arms when you turn a crank, so we can say that this is an automaton, or mechanical, paper toy.

Apresento aqui um paper toy bem incomum criado pelo designer colombiano Machintoy. 

A começar pelo tema, um coelho muito mal humorado que diz no template em espanhol que "odeia você". 

Outra coisa que chama atenção é que esse paper toy tem um mecanismo que faz com que ele mexa os braços quando você gira uma manivela, então podemos dizer que esse é um paper toy autômato, ou mecânico.

Paper Model History - The Game Of Football - Newport Vs. Cardiff A 1880`s Vintage Papercraft - by Tuck & Sons Ltd.

This German vintage papercraft from the 1880s (approximate date) published by Raphael Tuck & Sons Ltd., replicates the famous duel between the Newport and Cardiff RFC rugby teams. This match became famous for being the first to be artificially lit in Wales. 

The press at the time reported that in October 1879 Newport played Cardiff RFC in a floodlit game at Rodney Parade, the first ground to have floodlights installed in Wales. 

Note that the model was printed in Germany, but all texts are in English and Raphael Tuck & Sons was a British company. 

Raphael Tuck & Sons was a business started by Raphael Tuck and his wife in Bishopsgate in the City of London in October 1866, selling pictures and greeting cards, and eventually selling postcards, which was their most successful line. 

Their business was one of the best known in the "postcard boom" of the late 1800s and early 1900s. Their contributions left a lasting effect on most of the artistic world. 

During the Blitz, the company headquarters, Raphael House, was destroyed including the originals for most of their series. The company never fully recovered.

Este papercraft alemão antigo da década de 1880 (data aproximada) publicado por Raphael Tuck & Sons Ltd., replica o famoso duelo entre as equipes de rugby Newport e Cardiff RFC. Essa partida tornou-se famosa por ter sido a primeira a ser iluminada artificialmente no País de Gales. 

A imprensa da época noticiou que em outubro de 1879, Newport jogou contra o Cardiff RFC em um jogo iluminado em Rodney Parade, o primeiro terreno a ter holofotes instalados no País de Gales. 

Nota-se que o modelo foi impresso na Alemanha, mas todos os textos estão em inglês e a companhia Raphael Tuck & Sons era britânica. 

Raphael Tuck & Sons foi uma empresa iniciada por Raphael Tuck e sua esposa em Bishopsgate, na cidade de Londres, em outubro de 1866, vendendo fotos e cartões comemorativos e, posteriormente, vendendo cartões postais, que foi sua linha de maior sucesso. 

Seu negócio foi um dos mais conhecidos no "boom dos cartões postais" do final dos anos 1800 e início dos anos 1900. Suas contribuições deixaram um efeito duradouro na maior parte do mundo artístico. 

Durante a Blitz, a sede da empresa, Raphael House, foi destruída, incluindo os originais da maior parte da série. A empresa nunca se recuperou totalmente.
