1946`s ZIS-110 Limousine - A Sovietic Vintage Paper Model by Tatyana Mavrina

Originally printed in the extinct Soviet Union in 1946, this papercraft of a ZIL-110 Limousine was created by Tatyana Mavrina. 

I would like to thank three blog friends who contributed to this post in the comments. To Shadree for making a restored version, but only of the first sheet, because at the time I published this model I only had the first sheet, as I didn't know that the model was made up of two sheets. 

I'm also working on a restored version of this car, and I'm even fixing some of the original designer's mistakes, like the body that isn't aligned. 

If Chadree sees this post and restores the second sheet, I'll post it here, okay?

I would also like to thank my friend Papercraft Maker for informing me that this vehicle was a "ZIL" and not a "ZIS", as I had published. 

He informs that ZIS and ZIL are distinct and completely different brands. 

Finally, a special thanks to my blog friend called Gj_Mendes, as he was the one who found the second sheet of this model on a Russian website specializing in memories of the former Soviet Union.

Originalmente impresso na extinta União Soviética em 1946, este papercraft de uma Limusine ZIL-110 foi criado por Tatyana Mavrina.

Ao Shadree por ter feito uma versão restaurada, mas apenas da primeira folha, pois na época em que publiquei este modelo eu tinha apenas a primeira folha, pois não sabia que o modelo era composto de duas folhas. 

Eu também estou trabalhando em uma versão restaurada deste carro, e estou inclusive consertando alguns erros do designer original, como a carroceria que não está alinhada. Se Chadree ver este post e restaurar a segunda folha, eu posto aqui, ok? 

Agradeço também ao amigo Papercraft Maker por me informar que est eveículo era um "ZIL" e não um "ZIS", como eu havia publicado. 

Ele informa que ZIS e ZIL são marcas distintas e completamente diferentes. 

Por fim, um agradecimento especial ao amigo do blog chamado Gj_Mendes, pois foi ele que achou a segunda folha deste modelo em um website russo especializado em memórias da extinta União Soviética.

About the Ephemeral Museum:

I "am in the paper modeling" since 2005, although I've had contact with paper models from my childhood in the 1970s, via magazines that were sold sporadically in newsagents. I remember magazines with houses to build and dioramas/playsets of airports, western forts, nativity scenes and the like. With the advent of the internet what happened was simply a revival of the papercraft hobby for me and many other people of my generation. So, this is the Ephemeral Museum , a place where I will show some of the models that I built all these years. I would also like this to be a space where all modelers friends could show their work, so if anyone wants to participate in this "museum", just send photos of your work and a few words, if you want, to the e-mail:

Eu "estou no papelmodelismo" desde 2005, embora eu já tivesse contato com modelos de papel desde minha infância, nos anos 1970, via revistas que eram vendidas esporadicamente em bancas de jornal. Lembro que haviam revistas com casas para montar e dioramas/playsets de aeroportos, fortes-apache, presépios e coisas do tipo. Com o advento da internet o que houve foi simplesmente um renascimento do hobby do papelmodelismo para mim e muitas outras pessoas de minha geração. Então, esse é o Ephemeral Museum, um lugar aonde mostrarei alguns dos modelos que eu construí em todos estes anos. Também gostaria que esse fosse um espaço aonde todos os amigos modelistas pudessem mostrar seus trabalhos, sendo assim, se alguém quiser participar deste "museu", basta mandar fotos de seu trabalho e algumas palavras para o e-mail abaixo:

This little shop was all made in MsPaint and is special for me, because it was one of the first ones I created and when I printed, cut and paste the pieces and saw that everything fit, I was very happy. About Toys In The Attic by Papermau:

Toys in the Attic is the third album by American rock band Aerosmith, released in April 1975. Is also a name of a 1963`s drama movie with Dean Martin and Geraldine Page. Now, because this is a really nice name, this will be the name of a new session of Papermau`s blog. In this session I will share old original and exclusive paper models posted more than a year here in the blog. It's a way of not letting these models get lost among over 10.000 posts in the eight years of the blog.


Toys in the Attic (Brinquedos no Sotão) é o nome do terceiro album da banda norte-americana de rock Aerosmith, lançado em 1975. É também o nome de um drama para o cinema de 1963 chamado aqui no Brasil de Na Voragem das Paixões, que contava no elenco com Dean Martin (o parceiro do Rat Pack e de Jerry Lewis) e Geraldine Page. Agora, porque eu acho esse um título muito legal, Toys in the Attic será o nome de uma nova sessão do blog Papermau. Nesta sessão eu publicarei antigos modelos de papel originais e exclusivos postados há um ano ou mais. Esta é a maneira que encontrei para que estes modelos não fiquem perdidos e esquecidos entre mais de 10.000 postagens feitas em oit0 anos de existência do blog.
