Inkafarma Diorama Paper Model In 1/64 Scale - by Marco Funcke

I think that Hot Wheels and Matchbox collectors will love this Inkafarma diorama paper model In 1/64 scale, created by Peruvian designer Marco Funcke. Marco said: "Inkafarma is a chain of drugstores in Peru. This diorama is based on one that lies two blocks away from my home. Since it has this peculiar arrangement where it has a parking space in front enclosed by two side walls and the actual drugstore at the back, I considered it well suited for use as a background for photographing die-cast cars in 1/64 scale. I had wanted to do this for quite a while, but unfortunately one day the signs of the drugstore were covered with canvas, and only a couple of weeks ago (after several months) they were uncovered again. So I took my camera, snapped a few shots, and came back home. I hope they don't mind." - read more about this model and the creative process at the link to instructions, at the end of this post.

Eu acho que os colecionadores de miniaturas Hot Wheels e Matchbox irão adorar este papercraft/diorama da Inkafarma na escala 1/64, criado pelo designer peruano Marco Funcke. Marco disse: - "Inkafarma é uma cadeia de farmácias no Peru. Este diorama é baseado em uma que se encontra a duas quadras da minha casa. Ela tem esse arranjo peculiar onde há um espaço de estacionamento na frente delimitado por duas paredes laterais e a farmácia fica atrás, então eu considerei-a ideal para um diorama/ stand para fotografar miniaturas de veículos na escala 1/64. Eu queria fazer isso já faz um bom tempo, mas infelizmente e um dia os letreiros de farmácia estavam cobertos com lonas, e apenas duas semanas atrás (após vários meses), eles foram descobertos novamente. Então eu peguei a minha câmera, tirei algumas fotos, e voltei para casa. Halloween Special - Miniature Haunted Houses Paper Models - Set 2by Ravensblight

This is the second set of Miniature Haunted Houses created by designer and modeler Ray O`Bannon, from Ravensblight website. 

About these little houses, Ray said: "Long ago, an odd litle village was built by a very mysterious group of people. The town's name has long since been forgotten, although it's inhabitants were once quite wealthy, some say due to the use of witchcraft. 

Eventually they all perished, leaving their mansions to crumble and fall. But a few of these buildings still stand, and at night they become filled with a supernatural fog. Strange lights glow in all the windows and frightening sounds are often heard. 

Visitors are, of course, very rare but always welcome. These houses stand a little under 5 inches tall. They're made from simple, easy to build pieces, and each house includes it's own lawn and trees."

Este é o segundo set de Casas Assombradas em Miniatura criadas pelo designer e modelista Ray O`Bannon, do site Ravensblight. 

Sobre estas casinhas, Ray disse: "Há muito tempo atrás, uma estranha aldeia foi construída por um grupo de pessoas misteriosas. O nome da cidade foi há muito esquecido. Alguns dizem que seus habitantes eram muito riquíssimos, devido ao uso de feitiçaria. 

O tempo passou e todos lá morreram, deixando suas mansões desintegrando-se ao relento. Mas alguns destes edifícios ainda estão de pé, e à noite eles ficam envoltos em uma névoa sobrenatural. Estranhas luzes brilham em todas as janelas e sons assustadores são frequentemente ouvidos. 

Os visitantes, naturalmente, são muito raros, mas sempre bem-vindos. Estas casas tem um pouco menos de 5 polegadas de altura. Elas são feitas de modo simples,com peças fáceis de montar, e cada casa tem o seu próprio gramado e árvores." - Ray O`Bannon

The Automobilgarage Vintage Paper Model Diorama - via Agence Eureka - Assembled by Vermin King

My North American friend Dave, aka Vermin King, from Paper Modelers and Cardboard Warriors forums, worked hard in this vintage diorama called Automobilgarage, originally published in the early years of the last century, by French publisher Illustreret Familie-Journal. Because my English is very poor, I asked him to write something about this model and its creative process. The words he kindly sent me are these: - "I found the Automobilgarage from Illustreret Familie-Journal on the blog Agence Eureka. When I first discovered the models from Illustreret Familie-Journal, my thought was to do a set of these for my grandmother's window shelf at the nursing home, but she liked animals more than buildings. Then I wondered if I could clean it up enough to put into my model railroad layout, if I ever decide to put it back together. But the Papercuts 2015 contest got me thinking about it again. I like the looks of it, but it needed cleaning up and would benefit from layering. If the project had moved along better, I'd have done an interior. The whole thing was rescaled for 28mm, and cleaned up using Gimp. The carriage house required a little re-design so that no white showed and to supply parts for layering. The carriage required substantially more work to turn this into a beautiful model instead of the toy that it was originally intended to be." - Thanks, Dave, for the nice work, the great photos and for the words! Meu amigo norte-americano Dave, aka Vermin King, dos foruns Paper Modelers e Cardboard Warriors, trabalhou duro neste diorama antigo chamado Automobilgarage, publicado originalmente nos primeiros anos do século passado , pela editora francesa Illustreret Familie-Journal. Por meu inglês ser muito precário, pedi a ele que escrevesse algo sobre este modelo e seu processo criativo. As palavras que ele gentilmente enviou-me são estas: - "Eu encontrei o Automobilgarage de Illustreret Familie-Journal no blog francês Agence Eureka. Quando o vi pela primeira vez , minha primeira idéia foi montá-lo como um presente para minha avó, mas ela gosta mais de animais do que edifícios. Então me perguntei se eu poderia limpá-lo o suficiente para colocar em minha maquete ferroviária, se eu decidisse montá-la novamente um dia . Fui deixando para depois, mas aí veio o concurso Papercuts 2015, que me fez pensar sobre este modelo novamente. Pensei que precisaria limpar os templates originais e que a técnica de sobreposição de camadas também faria uma grande diferença, para melhor. Se eu tivesse mais tempo, teria feito também um interior. Redimensionei tudo para a escala 28 mm e usei o programa de edição de imagens Gimp na limpeza.
