Pin Up Queen Bettie Page Dress Up Paper Doll - by Dover Publishers

photo Bettie_Page real ne 01_zpstdcvfosg.jpgBettie Mae Page (22/04/1923 - 11/12/2008) was an American model who gained a significant profile in the 1950s for her pin-up photos. Often referred to as the "Queen of Pinups", her jet black hair, blue eyes, and trademark bangs have influenced artists for generations. A native of Nashville, Tennessee, Page lived in California in her early adult years before moving to New York City to pursue work as an actress. There, she began to find work as a pin-up model, and posed for dozens of photographers throughout the 1950s. Page was "Miss January 1955", one of the earliest Playmates of the Month for Playboy magazine. "I think that she was a remarkable lady, an iconic figure in pop culture who influenced sexuality, taste in fashion, someone who had a tremendous impact on our society," said Playboy founder Hugh Hefner to the Associated Press in 2008. - read more at Bettie.Page.at.Wikipedia

Little Kimono Girl Dress Up Paper Doll - by Unknown - via Papermau

I think little girls will love this Kimono Girl Dress Up Paper Doll. I don`t know from where or who designed this cute paper doll, but I have this model saved in my HD for a long time, so I decided to share this here. Kimono literally translations as “thing to wear”, but really only refers to the traditional, robe-like style of Japanese clothes you are probably familiar with. There are various types of kimono. The kind with the short sleeves that most women wear are generally just referred to as kimono, but may have specific names relating to their patterns. The beautiful, elaborate kimono with long sleeves are called furisode, and they are only worn by young women who have not married.
