Papermau`s Old Layout

Today  Papermau blog reached 10,000,000 pageviews! Not bad for a blog that has less than three years old and was made as a joke, a way to share my paper models and other modelers worldwide. Thanks to all the friends who daily visit the blog, leave comments, give opinions and suggest new models! I hope to continue doing this blog, because every day is as fun as the first day, two years and eight months ago.

Nada mal para um blog que tem menos de três anos de existência e foi feito como uma brincadeira, uma maneira de compartilhar meus modelos de papel e de outros modelistas do mundo todo. Obrigado a todos os amigos que diariamente visitam o blog, deixam comentários, dão opiniões e apontam novos modelos! Eu espero poder continuar fazendo este blog, porque cada dia é tão divertido quanto o primeiro dia, há dois anos e oito meses atrás.

The three wise monkeys, sometimes called the three mystic apes, are a pictorial maxim. Together they embody the proverbial principle to "see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil". The three monkeys are Mizaru, covering his eyes, who sees no evil; Kikazaru, covering his ears, who hears no evil; and Iwazaru, covering his mouth, who speaks no evil. There are various meanings ascribed to the monkeys and the proverb including associations with being of good mind, speech and action. In the Western world the phrase is often used to refer to those who deal with impropriety by turning a blind eye. Os Três Macacos Sábios ilustram a porta do Estábulo Sagrado, um templo do século XVII localizado no Santuário Toshogu, na cidade de Nikko, Japão. Sua origem é baseada em um trocadilho japonês. Seus nomes são Mizaru (o que cobre os olhos), Kikazaru (o que tapa os ouvidos) e Iwazaru (o que tapa a boca), que é traduzido como não ouça o mal, não fale o mal e não veja o mal. Construction Report - Osaka Castle Paper Model - by Canon - Part I

Been a long time since I built a paper model of  Canon Japanese website. I've built the Kumamoto Castle and some animals. I like Canon models by the variety of topics, from the simplest to the most complex and the very detailed instructions. The model I chose for this post, for example, is not the most difficult, but requires attention in assembly and I advise you to follow the order set out in the instructions. Osaka Castle is composed of 78 pieces broken down into 16 sheets of paper. Instructions occupy seven shets and are satisfactory. You need extra attention when  fold the pieces, because not all folds are well marked, I believe intentionally, for better finish. In this post you will see the first part of this assembly. If all goes well, when I finish assembling the castle, I will have a model like the picture above.

Já faz muito tempo desde que eu montei um modelo de papel do site japonês Canon. Eu já montei o Castelo Kumamoto e alguns animais. Eu gosto dos modelos da Canon pela variedade de temas, desde os mais simples aos mais complexos e pelas instruções bem detalhadas. O modelo que eu escolhi para este post, por exemplo, não é dos mais difíceis, mas exige atenção na montagem e eu aconselho  seguir a ordem estabelecida nas intruções. O Castelo de Osaka é composto de 78 peças divididas em 16 folhas de papel . As instruções ocupam sete folhas e são satisfatórias. É necessário atenção redobrada na hora de dobrar as peças, porque nem todas as dobras são bem marcadas, talvez para que o modelo tenha um acabamento melhor. Neste post você verá a primeira parte desta montagem. Mais em breve.
