The reason I put two names as responsible for this post is based on the fact that one, the Brazilian modeler Bslirabsl, assembled this and the other, Japanese designer K.Yoshinaka), created the model, comissioned by Canon website. I think so I am being fair to both. A hinakazari is a set of dolls displayed in homes at the Peach Festival, to pray for the healthy upbringing of girls. In the early Edo Period, only a pair of male and female dolls were displayed, in either an upright position ("tachihina" or standing dolls) or in a sitting position ("suwarihina" or sitting dolls). As time went by many other patterns came to be used, and around the end of the Edo Period and the start of the Meiji period, people began to display the "three ladies in waiting" or marital furniture, making large-scale decoration sets. This paper craft recreates a hinakazari, centering on the emperor and emperess dolls, who are surrounded by three ladies in waiting and tiered boxes, a palanquin, and other items on a three-tiered display stand. The final product is quite large, measuring 28cm high, 44cm wide, and 41cm deep. Take your time to construct it carefully. - Canon


O motivo de eu colocar dois nomes como responsáveis por este post se baseia no fato que um deles, o modelista brasileiro Bslirabsl, montou o modelo e o outro, o designer japonês K.Yoshinaka, o criou, comissionado pelo site da Canon. Eu creio que assim estarei sendo justo com ambos. Um hinakazari é um conjunto de bonecas exibido em casas japonesas no Festival de PÉssego, para pedir em orações pelo crescimento saudável das meninas. No Período Edo, apenas um par de bonecas do sexo masculino e feminino eram exibidos, que podiam estar em qualquer posição: em pé ("tachihina" ou bonecos de pé) ou na posição sentada ("suwarihina" ou bonecos sentados). Conforme o tempo foi passando muitos outros padrões passaram a ser usados, e em torno do final do Período Edo e início do Período Meiji, as pessoas começaram a expor as "três damas de companhia" e a mobília do casal imperial, fazendo sets de grande escala como decoração. Este paper model recria um hinakazari, centrando-se no imperador e na imperatriz, que estão adornados pelas três damas de companhia,um tradicional móvel composto por caixas em camadas, um palanquim, e outros itens, em um stand de exposição de três estágios. O produto final é bem grande, medindo 28 centímetros de largura, 44 centímetros de altura, e 41 centímetros de profundidade. - Canon

The Panzerkampfwagen IV (Pz.Kpfw. IV), commonly known as the Panzer IV, was a medium tank developed in Nazi Germany in the late 1930s and used extensively during the Second World War. Its ordnance inventory designation was Sd.Kfz. 161. Designed as an infantry-support tank, the Panzer IV was not originally intended to engage enemy armor—that function was performed by the lighter Panzer III. However, with the flaws of pre-war doctrine becoming apparent and in the face of Soviet T-34 tanks, the Panzer IV soon assumed the tank-fighting role of its increasingly obsolete cousin. The most widely manufactured and deployed German tank of the Second World War, the Panzer IV was used as the base for many other fighting vehicles, including the Sturmgeschütz IV assault gun, Jagdpanzer IV tank destroyer, the Wirbelwind self-propelled anti-aircraft weapon, and the Brummbär self-propelled gun. Robust and reliable, it saw service in all combat theaters involving Germany and has the distinction of being the only German tank to remain in continuous production throughout the war, with over 8,800 produced between 1936 and 1945. Upgrades and design modifications, often made in response to the appearance of new Allied tanks, extended its service life. Generally, these involved increasing the Panzer IV's armor protection or upgrading its weapons, although during the last months of the war with Germany's pressing need for rapid replacement of losses, design changes also included retrograde measures to simplify and speed manufacture. The Panzer IV was the most widely exported tank in German service, with around 300 sold to partners such as Finland, Romania, Spain and Bulgaria. After the war, seeking to improve its armored forces, Syria procured PzKpfw IV from France and Czechoslovakia, which were to see combat in the 1967 Six-Day War. - Wikipedia


O Panzerkampfwagen IV (Sd.Kfz. IV) ou Panzer IV foi um carro de combate médio projetado na Alemanha. Numericamente, foi o carro de combate mais importante e empregado pelas forças alemãs. Foi produzido até o final da guerra, pois não foi desenvolvido um veículo economicamente viável que pudesse substituí-lo. Seu chassi foi empregado no desenvolvimento de inúmeros veículos blindados, indo desde blindados de reparo á veiculos blindados anti-aéreos. O Panzer IV, assim como o T-34 soviético, sofreram diversas modificações ao longo da guerra, ganhando inumeras variantes. Foram fabricadas mais 9.000 unidades entre todas as versões. Panzer é uma abreviação de "Panzerkampfwagen", um substantivo Alemão que se traduz como "Veículo Blindado de Combate", que na Inglaterra e nos Estados Unidos convencionou-se chamar de tanque. Tornou-se sinónimo dos tanques de batalha Alemães durante os anos 30 e 40, e é geralmente designado por sua abreviatura "PzKpfw".
