The Weekend Pic - Beijing Drum Tower Paper Model - by Seascape / Stahlhart

This really beautiful paper model of the Beijing Drum Tower in 1/300 scale was created by German designer Christoph Stahl, aka Stahlhart and here in this post you can see the model assembled by German modeler Seascape. Build under Emperor Yongle in 1420, the Beijing Drum Tower was the Center of time-keeping in the Capital city, announcing full hours by huge drums until 1924. The current structure was the result of repairs and reconstructions in 1800. Este belíssimo modelo de papel da Torre dos Tambores de Pequim, na escala 1/300, foi criada pelo designer alemão Christoph Stahl, aka Stahlhart e aqui neste post você vê uma foto do modelo montado pelo modelista também alemão Seascape. Construído durante o reinado imperador Yongle em 1420, a Torre dos Tambores de Pequim era uma espécie de relógio da cidade, anunciando as horas cheias através do ribombar de seus enormes tambores até o ano de 1924. A torre que existe atualmente é resultado de reparos e reconstruções ocorridos entre os anos de 1800.
