I was organizing the blog when I saw that this post, about retro-style Christmas ornaments, originally published in November 2011, a few months after the blog started, was among the "Top Ten" of the month. 

The ornaments were created by American designer and self-titled Jason Snyder, who defines himself as "a pop-retrophile, interested in robots, drive-in movie theaters, tiki bars, pin-up girls, old ephemera, retail archeology, paper craft and many other obscurities." 

Reviewing the post I saw that some links are no longer valid. Previously, there were five ornament models available, but now there are only two, unfortunately. 

Anyway, here are the two that I managed to rescue for anyone who wants to decorate their Christmas tree with a retro touch. 

I hosted both templates on Google Drive and one of them, which was in a very poor resolution, I tried to improve the quality using an AI program. Have fun.

Eu estava organizando o blog quando vi que este post, de ornamentos natalinos em estilo retrô, originalmente publicado em novembro de 2011, alguns meses após o início do blog, estava entre os "Top Ten" do mês. 

Os ornamentos foram criados pelo designer e auto intitulado americano Jason Snyder, que se define como "um pop-retrófilo, interessado em robôs, cinemas drive-in, bares tiki, pin-up girls, arqueologia de varejo, artesanato em papel e muitas outras obscuridades." 

Revisando o post vi que alguns links não são mais válidos. Antes eram cinco modelos de ornamentos disponíveis, mas agora só há dois, infelizmente. 

De qualquer forma, aqui estão os dois que consegui resgatar para quem quiser decorar sua ávore de Natal com um toque retrô. 

Hospedei os dois templates no Google Drive e um deles, que estava em uma resolução muito ruim, eu tentei melhorar a qualidade usando um programa de IA. Boa diversão.

The katana is one of the traditional Japanese swords worn by the samurai class of feudal Japan, also commonly referred to as a "samurai sword". The katana is generally defined as the standard size moderately curved (as opposed to the older "tachi" style featuring more curvature) Japanese sword with a blade length greater than 60 cm (23.6 inches). With a few exceptions katana and tachi can be distinguished from each other if signed, by the location of the signature (mei) on the tang (nakago). In general the mei should be carved into the side of the nakago that would face outward when the sword was worn. Since a tachi was worn cutting edge down and the katana was worn cutting edge up, the mei would be in opposite locations on the nakago of both types of swords. The katana is characterized by its distinctive appearance: a curved, slender, single edged blade, circular or squared guard, and long grip to accommodate two hands. It has historically been associated with the samurai of feudal Japan, and has become renowned for its sharpness and cutting ability. - Wikipedia

Daisho Katana And Wakizashi

Katana ou Catana é o sabre longo japonês. Surgida no Período Muromachi, era a arma padrão dos samurais e também dos ninjas para a prática do kenjutsu, a arte de manejar a espada. Tem gume apenas de um lado, e sua lâmina é ligeiramente curva. Era usada tradicionalmente pelos samurais, acompanhada da wakizashi (espada menor) . A katana era usado em campo aberto, enquanto a wakizashi servia para combate no interior de edifícios. Apesar dos samurais terem desenvolvido tradicionalmente a esgrima usando uma espada manejada pelas duas mãos juntas, existem estilos de kenjutsu que possuem técnicas com ambas as espadas ao mesmo tempo, como por exemplo o Tenshin Shoden Katori Shinto Ryu e o Niten Ichi Ryu de Miyamoto Musashi. Em sua obra, Gorin no Sho (O Livro dos Cinco Anéis), Musashi advoga o uso das duas espadas, dizendo ser "indigno do samurai morrer com uma espada ainda embainhada". O conjunto das duas armas chama-se daisho , literalmente "grande e pequeno", e podia ser usado apenas pelos samurais, representando seu prestígio social e honra pessoal. A diferença entre a espada ninja (Ninja-to) e a katana samurai se dá na sua forma, sendo que a ninja tem forma reta e ponta também reta, tendo a lâmina não tão afiada (em razão da pratica do "doku no jutsu" - envenenamento da lâmina), já a samurai possui uma leve curvatura e ponta semi-curva, muito bem afiada. Isso se dá pela diferença de que o ninja carrega sua espada nas costas, portanto um corte vertical de cima para baixo, e o samurai levar sua espada na altura da cintura realizando um corte transversal de baixo para cima ou horizontal. - Wikipedia
