The Real Thing

The Statue of Liberty was given to the United States by France in 1876 as a gesture of international goodwill to celebrate the 100th anniversary of American independence. In her right hand, Lady Liberty holds a torch representing freedom; in her left, a tablet inscribed with the date of the Declaration of Independence. The seven points on her crown represent the dream of freedom spreading to the seven seas and continents of the world. The broken chains at her feet symbolize new-found freedom. - Canon



A Estátua da Liberdade foi dada aos Estados Unidos pela França, em 1876, como um gesto de boa vontade internacional e celebrar os 100 anos da independência americana. Em sua mão direita a Lady Liberty segura uma tocha acesa, que representa a liberdade; na mão esquerda, uma táboa talhada com a data da Declaração da Independência. Os sete pontos de sua coroa representam o sonho de liberdade apontando para os sete mares e continentes do mundo. A corrente partida em seus pés simboliza a então recém conquistada liberdade. - Canon

The Peugeot 206 is a supermini car, manufactured by the French automaker Peugeot from 1998 to 2010.

O Peugeot 206 é um carro compacto, fabricado pela marca francesa de carros Peugeot de 1998 a 2010.

Even though the 206 has finished production in most markets as of 2010, in Europe since 2009, it is still available labeled as 206+, with a front design that resembles the Peugeot 207.

I am really happy and impressed to find this model, by Somodi Zoltam, a Hungarian designer. He makes really nice models in black and white, and looks like he does not use graphic programs to make it. The model of the photographs was assembled by him and looks like it was hand-colored.


Fiquei muito contente e impressionado em encontrar este modelo de um designer húngaro chamado Somodi Zoltán. Ele faz modelos realmente bons, sempre em preto e branco e me parece que não usa nenhum tipo de programa gráfico para fazê-los, me parecem desenhados à mão. O modelo das fotos foi montado por ele e também parece que foi colorido à mão.
