OceanGate Titan Submersible Paper Model In 1/35 Scale - by Tekzo

Tekzo, from My Hobby Craft website, is a designer and modeler from Jakarta, Indonesia and the author of this perfect paper model version in 1/35 scale of the OceanGate Titan submersible. 

The model is free, it only takes up three printed sheets, and Tekzo was kind enough to provide detailed instructions with many step-by-step photos that will leave no doubt for anyone who wants to build their own Titan. 

On June 18, 2023, the Titan submersible, operated by OceanGate Expeditions, disappeared in the North Atlantic Ocean while carrying tourists to see the wreckage of the Titanic near the coast of Newfoundland, Canada. 

With a capacity for five people, the submersible had a breathable air supply for up to 4 days. Search and rescue teams, including the United States Coast Guard, the United States Navy, the Canadian Coast Guard, and other resources, conducted intensive operations. 

After nearly 80 hours of searching, it was confirmed that the wreckage of the Titan was found approximately 488 meters from the bow of the Titanic. 

It is presumed that the vessel imploded during or after the descent, resulting in the instant death of everyone on board.

O modelo é gratuíto, ocupa apenas três folhas impressas e Tekzo ainda teve a gentileza de fazer instruções detalhadas com muitas fotos do passo a passo que não deixarão dúvida spara todos aqueles que quiserem montar seu próprio Titan. 

Em 18 de junho de 2023, o submersível Titan, da OceanGate Expeditions, desapareceu no Oceano Atlântico Norte enquanto levava turistas para ver os destroços do Titanic, próximo à costa de Terra Nova, Canadá. 

Com capacidade para cinco pessoas, o submersível tinha um suprimento de ar para até 4 dias. As equipes de busca e resgate, incluindo a Guarda Costeira dos Estados Unidos, a Marinha dos Estados Unidos, a Guarda Costeira do Canadá e outros recursos, realizaram operações intensivas. 

Após quase 80 horas de busca, foi confirmado que os destroços do Titan foram encontrados a cerca de 488 metros da proa do Titanic. 

Presume-se que a embarcação tenha implodido durante ou após a descida, resultando na morte instantânea de todos a bordo.

Mary Rose`s Galley Furnace Paper Model - by The Mary Rose Org

This is a paper model of one of the two ovens found on the wreck of the old Mary Rose. These galley ovens were made of bricks. This meant that no matter how hot the galley became, it wouldn’t set fire to the ship as the bricks provided excellent insulation against the heat.

Built in Portsmouth, the Mary Rose was launched in 1511. She sank during an engagement with a French invasion fleet just two kilometres from the entrance to Portsmouth Harbour. Before sinking, the Mary Rose saw 34 years of service as Henry VIII’s flagship. 

She was raised from the seabed in 1982. The story of the Mary Rose spans almost 500 years. Approximately 19,000 artefacts have been recovered from the wreck site. Many artefacts have to be kept within environmentally controlled conditions to prevent them disintegrating. 

The members of the crew would have lived, worked and fought in cramped and overcrowded conditions on board. So far, excavations have found the personal remains of many of the crew members. The final recorded crew list contained 185 soldiers, 200 mariners and 30 gunners. Most people on board were in their late teens or early twenties. Only about 25 to 30 of the crew survived the sinking.

Este é um modelo de papel de um dos dois fornos encontrados no naufrágio do antigo navio Mary Rose. Eles eram feitos de alvenaria para não incendiar o navio, pois os tijolos proporcionavam um excelente isolamento contra o calor.

Easy-To-Build Viking Ship Papercraft Project For Kids - by We And Us & Time To Craft

Researching ancient vessels I came across these two educational websites, We And Us Ltd. and Time To Craft, who made publications about the Drakars, the famous Viking Ships. 

The first made the templates available and the second posted several pictures of the boat assembled as a school project. 

Since the two websites are no longer online, I resorted to the Wayback Machine to access them. 

All photos of the assembled Viking Boat belong to Time To Craft website and I leave here my thanks. I also thank We and Us Ltd website for making the templates available.

Pesquisando sobre antigas embarcações deparei-me com estes dois websites educativos, We And Us Ltd. e Time To Craft, que fizeram publicações sobre os Drakars, os famosos Barcos Vikings. 

O primeiro disponibilizou os templates e o segundo postou várias fotos do barco montado como um projeto escolar. 

Como os dois websites não estão mais online, eu recorri ao Wayback Machine para poder acessá-los.

Yamato Maru Tugboat Paper Model - by Hiroshi Tozawa

This detailed paper model of a tugboat, the Yamato Maru, was created by Japanese designer and modeler Hiroshi Tozawa. 

The whole model occupies eight printed sheets, and Mr. Tozawa also created a 13-page tutorial full of step-by-step photos of how to assemble this beautiful paper model. 

Mr. Tozawa also advises that the scale is between 1/130 and 1/140.

Este detalhado modelo de papel de um rebocador, o Yamato Maru, foi criado pelo designer e modelista japonês Hiroshi Tozawa. 

O modelo todo ocupa oito folhas impressas e o Sr. Tozawa também criou um tutorial em 13 páginas, cheio de fotos com o passo a passo da montagem deste belo modelo de papel. 

O Sr. Tozawa também informa que a escala está entre 1/130 e 1/140.
