Polish Truck Fiat Polski 614 Miniature Paper Model In 1/72 Scale by Exclusive Models

Looking at the image, you might not notice it, but the scale of this detailed paper model of the Polish truck Fiat Polski 614 is 1/72, a tiny scale much appreciated in dioramas and wargames. 

The entire template takes up a little more than half of a sheet of A4 or Letter paper and is very detailed for the size. I plan to assemble it, but I will rescale it two or three times (for larger). 

This miniature Fiat Polski 614 truck was created by Polish designers Konrad Supernak and Adam Wilczak, from Exclusive Models website. 

The Fiat-Polski 614 was a small multifunctional truck manufactured in Poland by Fiat Polski between 1934 and 1937, under license from Fiat VI Italy. 

The production of the Fiat Polski 614 truck is the first result of a cooperation agreement with the transfer of manufacturing licenses between the Italian manufacturer Fiat SpA and the Polish government signed in 1932. 

Produced at the Państwowe Zakłady Inżynierii - PZinz factory in Warsaw, this vehicle had a remarkable payload of 1,000 kg, based on the vehicle's total weight. In fact, it was derived from the Fiat 514 car whose chassis was reinforced and lengthened. 

In addition to the civilian version, the Fiat Polski 614 was also highly appreciated by the Polish army where it was used in its van version converted into an ambulance capable of transporting 8 slightly injured people or 4 injured people on a stretcher. The driver's side wall is designed to accommodate all emergency medical equipment.

Vendo a imagem você pode não perceber, mas a escala deste modelo de papel cheio de detalhes do caminhão polonês Fiat Polski 614 é de 1/72, uma escala diminuta muita apreciada em dioramas e wargames. 

O modelo todo ocupa um pouco mais da metade de uma folha de papel A4 ou Carta e é bem detalhado para seu tamanho. Eu pretendo montá-lo, mas vou reescalá-lo em duas ou três vezes (para maior). 

Este Fiat Polski 614 em miniatura foi criado pelos designers poloneses Konrad Supernak e Adam Wilczak, do site Exclusive Models.

WW2`s Half-Track APC M3 Paper Model - by Model Lover

This paper model of the Half-Track APC M3 was created by the designer known as Model Lover, or John Vector, or even Eugene or John Baker. 

He is, or can be, Russian, currently living in Vietnam, Turkey, or Kyrgyzstan, depending on the social media you access. I think he is either a secret agent or he has a great sense of humor. 

Either way, Model Lover is a talented model maker who generously shares his creations for free through Pinterest and the Wayback Machine and also provides instructions on YouTube. 

This model, for example, only occupies one printed sheet and is quite easy to assemble.

Steampunk Tracked Patrol Machine Type 53 Paper Model - by Paul via Le Forum En Papier

Paul is a British designer and model maker who creates paper models and shares them on Le Forum en Papier, which in my opinion is the best and most inclusive papercraft forum in all of Europe. 

In 2008 Paul created and shared on Le Forum en Papier this papercraft of a fictional military vehicle, the Tracked Patrol Machine, a model that occupies only one printed sheet and is in an approximate scale between 1/48 and 1/50. 

Regarding this model, Paul said: - "I traced this invention little by little, from a sketch, and little by little I created the file in Illustrator and colored it with Photoshop. 

The story takes place at the beginning of the last century, on the borders of Sudan... a "steampunk" setting à la Jules Verne, or HG Wells! 

Because my project is to reconstruct the equipment that a reporter could have photographed in the 1900s, if..." 

The model in the first photo of this post was assembled by Paul himself. The other two photos are by a modeler called Edwincito, from Guatemala.

Paul é um designer e modelista inglês que cria modelos de papel e os compartilha no Le Forum en Papier, que na minha opinião, é o melhor e mais inclusivo forum de papercraft de toda a Europa. 

Em 2008 Paul criou e compartilhou no Le Forum en Papier este papercraft de um veículo militar fictício, a Máquina de Patrulha sobre Esteiras, um modelo que ocupa apena suma folha impressa e que está em uma escala aproximada entre 1/48 e 1/50. 

À respeito deste modelo, Paul disse: - "Tracei esta invenção aos poucos, desde um esboço, e aos poucos fui criando o arquivo no Ilustrador e colorindo com o Photoshop. 

A história se passa no início do século passado, nas fronteiras do Sudão... um cenário "steampunk" à la Júlio Verne, ou HG Wells!

The Ephemeral Museum - Bridge and Deck Of The USS Gerald R. Ford In 1/72 Scale - by Luiz Leopoldo

Mr. Luiz Leopoldo is a modeling enthusiast here in Brazil who sent me some photos of a beautiful project he completed based on an original model by the Japanese designer and modeler Masahiro Kushima from the Paper Model Studio website. 

Mr. Leopoldo enlarged this aircraft carrier, focusing only on the bridge and the rear deck, at a 1/72 scale. 

I asked him to write a few lines for this post, and he kindly provided the following text: 

"As an aviation enthusiast for several decades, I saw the expanded construction of the CVN-78 as a challenge. I focus more on reading about the subject, consulting, and translating various aviation magazines. 

As for papercraft, I had seen it on the internet before, with some websites offering these models for download and assembly, but I had never had an interest in delving into the subject. 

About six months ago, I downloaded the papercraft file for the USS Gerald R. Ford (CVN-78), which I found very interesting. From there, I started imagining how to assemble it, but in a 1:72 scale, as I had seen others do with the USS Enterprise aircraft carrier, which is on display at the Musée de l’Air in Le Bourget, Paris, France, and others that appeared in FineScale magazine. So, I took the initiative to build the bridge of the USS Gerald R. Ford. 

Using the scaling factor of 4.8611, obtained by dividing 350 by 72, I began printing the sheets of the bridge of interest, improving the print quality by using 300 DPI. I printed everything on A4 paper, and I printed a portion of an image on adhesive paper to later attach it to cardboard. 

If you have access to a plotter and adhesive paper, it would make the process much easier. The rest involves creativity, patience, calm, and hard work to achieve the final result. It's a challenge I enjoyed, and there are already others in progress."

This 1/350 scale model, which is both free and enormous, measuring approximately 1 meter in length once assembled, was previously featured on the blog in 2021. For those who may have missed it, the link to download the model is provided at the end of this post.

O Sr. Luiz Leopoldo é um amigo modelista aqui do Brasil que enviou-me algumas fotos de um belo trabalho que ele fez sobre um modelo original do designer e modelista japonês Masahiro Kushima, do site Paper Model Studio. 

O Sr. Luiz fez uma ampliação desse porta-aviões, mas somente da ponte e do convés traseiro, na escala 1/72. 

Pedi a ele que escrevesse alguma slinhas para este post e ele gentilmente enviou-me o texto abaixo: 

"Sendo entusiasta de aviação, já a algumas décadas, vi como um desafio a construção ampliada do CVN-78. Me dedico mais a ler sobre o assunto, consultando e traduzindo várias revistas de aviação. 

Quanto ao assunto papercraft, já tinha visto antes na internet, alguns site que dispõe esses modelos para abaixar e montar, mas nunca tive interesse em mergulhar no assunto. 

Uns seis meses atrás, eu abaixei o arquivo papercraft do USS Gerald R. Ford (CVN-78), na qual eu achei muito interessante, e dai fiquei imaginando como seria montar ele, mas na escala 1:72, na qual já tinha visto outras pessoas fazerem isso com o porta-aviões USS Enterprise, na qual tem um no Musée de l’Air, em Le Bourget, em Paris, na França, e outros, que apareceu na revista FineScale. Então tomei a iniciativa de montar a ponte do USS Gerald R. Ford. 

Usando o valor de 4,8611, para ampliação, dividindo 350 por 72. Comecei a imprimir as folhas de interesse da ponte, mas melhorando a qualidade da impressão, usando 300ppp, tudo impresso em impressora A4, imprimindo em folha adesiva parte de uma imagem, para depois colar em cartolina. 

Se tiver como imprimir em plotter com folha adesiva, facilitaria muito mais. O resto é criatividade, paciência, calma e trabalho, para obter esse resultado final. Um desafio que gostei, e já tem outros a caminho..."

About the Ephemeral Museum:

I "am in the paper modeling" since 2005, although I've had contact with paper models from my childhood in the 1970s, via magazines that were sold sporadically in newsagents. 

I remember magazines with houses to build and dioramas/playsets of airports, western forts, nativity scenes and the like. 

With the advent of the internet what happened was simply a revival of the papercraft hobby for me and many other people of my generation. 

Today I am opening a new session here on the blog, the Ephemeral Museum , which is a place where I will show some of the models that I built all these years.

I would also like this to be a space where all modelers friends could show their work, so if anyone wants to participate in this "museum", just send photos of your work and a few words, if you want, to the e-mail:

Eu "estou no papelmodelismo" desde 2005, embora eu já tivesse contato com modelos de papel desde minha infância, nos anos 1970, via revistas que eram vendidas esporadicamente em bancas de jornal. 

Lembro que haviam revistas com casas para montar e dioramas/playsets de aeroportos, fortes-apache, presépios e coisas do tipo. 

Com o advento da internet o que houve foi simplesmente um renascimento do hobby do papelmodelismo para mim e muitas outras pessoas de minha geração. 

Hoje eu estou inaugurando uma nova sessão aqui no blog, o Ephemeral Museum, que é um lugar aonde irei mostrar alguns dos modelos que eu construí em todos estes anos. 

Também gostaria que esse fosse um espaço aonde todos os amigos modelistas pudessem mostrar seus trabalhos, sendo assim, se alguém quiser participar deste "museu", basta mandar fotos de seu trabalho e algumas palavras para o e-mail abaixo:

British Royal Guard's Sentry Box Paper Model - by Made In Ashford

This very easy-to-assemble paper model of a British royal guard's sentry box is part of a free activity pack celebrating the coronation of King Charles III that was created by British designer Melissa Dawkins, from the educational website Made in Ashford. 

Concerning this package, Mrs. Dawkins says: - "To celebrate the Coronation of King Charles III we have created an activity pack full of fun! It includes activities, colouring, DIY celebration bunting, craft papers and games printed on to quality card or available for FREE for you to print at home."

Este modelo de papel bem fácil de montar de uma guarita da guarda real britânica faz parte de um pack de atividades gratuíto em comemoração da coroação do Rei Charles III que foi criado pela designer britânica Melissa Dawkins, do site educativo Made in Ashford.
