Lucy Maud Montgomery`s House Paper Model - by DID Wallpaper

Lucy Maud Montgomery OBE (November 30, 1874 – April 24, 1942), published as L. M. Montgomery, was a Canadian author best known for a series of novels beginning in 1908 with Anne of Green Gables. 

The book was an immediate success. The central character, Anne Shirley, an orphaned girl, made Montgomery famous in her lifetime and gave her an international following. 

This paper model offered by the South Korean website DID Wallpaper was inspired by the real house where Lucy Maud Montgomery was born.

Após sua publicação, Anne of Green Gables teve sucesso imediato. A personagem principal, Anne Shirley, uma garota órfã, tornou Montgomery famosa na época, dando-lhe inclusive destaque internacional. 

Este modelo de papel oferecido pelo site sul-coreano DID Wallpaper, foi inspirado na casa real aonde nasceu Lucy Maud Montgomery.

On the download page it is written that this model needs magnets to be assembled, but from what I could see in the instructions, it can also be assembled only with regular glue.

The Parthenon is a temple on the Athenian Acropolis, Greece, dedicated to the maiden goddess Athena, whom the people of Athens considered their patron. Its construction began in 447 BC when the Athenian Empire was at the height of its power. It was completed in 438 BC, although decoration of the Parthenon continued until 432 BC. It is the most important surviving building of Classical Greece, generally considered the culmination of the development of the Doric order. Its decorative sculptures are considered some of the high points of Greek art. The Parthenon is regarded as an enduring symbol of Ancient Greece and of ancient democracy and one of the world's greatest cultural monuments. The Greek Ministry of Culture is currently carrying out a program of selective restoration and reconstruction to ensure the stability of the partially ruined structure. - Wikipedia

Artistic Interpretation of the Parthenon

Do site sul-coreano Did Wallpaper, eis aqui o modelo de papel do Parthenon, na Grécia. O Partenon ou Partenão foi um templo da deusa grega Atena, construído no século V a.C. na acrópole de Atenas. É o mais conhecido dos edifícios remanescentes da Grécia Antiga e foi ornado com o melhor da arquitetura grega. Suas esculturas decorativas são consideradas um dos pontos altos da arte grega. O Partenon é um símbolo duradouro da Grécia e da democracia, e é visto como um dos maiores monumentos culturais da história da humanidade. O nome Partenon parece derivar da monumental estátua de Atena Partenos abrigada no salão leste da construção. Foi esculpida em marfim e ouro por Fídias e seu epíteto parthenos refere-se ao estado virginal e solteiro da deusa. O Partenon foi construído para substituir um antigo templo destruído por uma invasão dos persas em 480 a.C. Como muitos templos gregos, servia como tesouraria, onde se guardavam as reservas de moeda e metais preciosos da cidade e também da Liga de Delos, que se tornaria mais tarde o império ateniense. No século VI foi convertido numa igreja cristã dedicada à Virgem Maria e depois da conquista turca foi transformada numa mesquita. Em 1687, um depósito de munição instalado pelos turcos explodiu após ser atingido por uma bala de canhão veneziana, causando sérios danos ao edifício e a suas esculturas. No século XIX, o diplomata britânico Thomas Bruce, 7.° Conde de Elgin, removeu muitas das esculturas sobreviventes para a Inglaterra, hoje conhecidas como Mármores de Elgin e expostas no Museu Britânico, em Londres. Uma disputa polêmica pede o retorno dessas peças à Grécia. O Partenon e outros edifícios da acrópole formam hoje um dos mais visitados sítios arqueológicos da Grécia e o Ministério da Cultura grego leva adiante um programa de restauração e reconstrução. - Wikipedia

Yi Sun-Sin - Korean Naval Commander Paper Toy - by Kamibot

This is the paper toy version of Yi Sun-Sin (April 28, 1545 – December 16, 1598), a Korean naval commander famed for his victories against the Japanese navy during the Imjin war in the Joseon Dynasty, who became an exemplar of conduct to both the Koreans and Japanese. Despite the fact that he had no prior naval training, Admiral Yi was never defeated at sea, and military historians have placed him on par with Admiral Horatio Nelson as one of the greatest naval commanders in history. His title of Samdo Sugun Tongjesa , literally meaning "Naval Commander of the Three Provinces", was the title used for the commander of the Korean navy until 1896. Over the course of his career, Admiral Yi fought in at least 23 naval engagements, all against the Japanese. In most of these battles, he was outnumbered and lacked necessary supplies. His most famous victory occurred at the Battle of Myeongnyang, where despite being outnumbered 133 warships to 13, he managed to disable or destroy 31 of the 133 Japanese warships without losing a single ship of his own. Yi died from a gunshot wound at the naval Battle of Noryang on December 16, 1598. His last words, "The battle is at its height. Beat my war drums. Do not announce my death", are often cited as an important part of his character.

Esta é a versão paper toy de Yi Sun-Sin (28 de abril de 1545 — 16 de Dezembro de 1598), um comandante naval coreano conhecido por suas vitórias contra a marinha do Japão durante a Guerra Imjin da dinastia Joseon.
Ele detinha o título de Samdo Sugun Tongjesa, que literalmente quer dizer "Comandante Naval das Três Províncias".
Yi também é conhecido pelo seu inovador emprego dos barcos-targaruga. Ele foi um dos poucos almirantes coreanos que foram vitoriosos em todas as batalhas navais (no seu caso 23) as quais ele comandou.
Yi foi morto por uma simples bala na batalha de Noryang (16 de Dezembro 1598).
Enquanto morria, disse "não seja conhecida [ainda] a minha morte" (querendo evitar a perda de moral das forças próprias e o ganho das inimigas).

This is Pororo, the Little Penguin, here in a cute paper model version created by Indonesian designer Tosan Aji, from Tos-Craft website. 

Pororo, the Little Penguin is a South Korean computer-generated animated cartoon series created by Iconix Entertainment, SK Broadband, Ocon and EBS with the North Korean company Samchŏlli in Kaesŏng. Production began in 2002 and the program began airing in South Korea on EBS in 2003. The series revolves around the adventures of Pororo and his friends who live in the snowy village of Porong Porong Forest, who often encounter challenges and learn practical and moral lessons in each episode.

Pororo, o Pequeno Pinguim é uma série de animação computadorizada sul-coreana criada por Iconix Entertainment, SK Broadband, Ocon e Educational Broadcasting System em parceria com a empresa norte-coreana Kaesong. A produção começou em 2002 e começou a ser exibido na Coréia do Sul pelo canal EBS em 2003. A série conta as aventuras de Pororo e seus amigos que vivem na aldeia da Floresta Porong Porong, e muitas vezes enfrentam desafios e aprendem lições práticas e morais em cada episódio.
