Created by Japanese designer Aya Honda exclusively for Canon website, this decorative papercraft of a mobile with colorful carp streamers takes up just four printed sheets, is very easy to assemble and has detailed, well-illustrated instructions. 

Regarding this papercraft, Ms. Honda said: - "A hanging decoration that swings when the wind blows. It looks like fish are swimming in the sky. 

I think it would be cute if you made it using thread or string in a color that matches the craftsmanship." 

This is one of those papercrafts that you can only view and download if you access the Canon website using the Japanese language. Any other language chosen will result in this papercraft not appearing.

Generic Mobile Suit Robots Paper Toys In SD Style - by WXY Paper

These generic Gundam SD (super deformed) style paper toys were created by the Chinese designer known only as Wxy Pipi who shares his creations on WXY Paper website. 

The site was last updated in 2013, which is a shame, as Wxy Pipi's work is incredible and full of detail. 

Regarding the Wxy website itself, Pipi says: - "This is a blog created by Wxy because it is interesting. It is neglected during the week and the update speed is very slow and intermittent. 

The content is mainly about paper model design and production , and there is also a small amount of CG content and other things that the blogger finds interesting." 

You'll find some more very interesting works at the link below, but today I'm just highlighting these Gundams which, although they are generally described as "robots", are specifically "Mobile Suits" in the Japanese Gundam entertainment franchise. 

They are giant human-piloted combat vehicles in a variety of anime, manga, and video game series. Gundams are often highlighted for their distinctive design, advanced firepower, and combat maneuverability. 

I hope all is well with Wxy Pipi, as he lives in a democratic republic. Don't you think China is a democratic republic? But the name itself says that it is a democratic republic... just like Brazil... 

Both there and here you can talk about anything, as long as it is nothing anti-democratic. Here in Brazil, the word we hear most in the news and on social media is democracy.

Estes paper toys em estilo SD (super deformado) de Gundams genéricos foram criados pelo designer chinês conhecido apenas por Wxy Pipi que compartilha suas criações no site WXY Paper. 

O site foi atualizado pela última vez em 2013, o que é uma pena, pois os trabalhos de Wxy Pipi são incríveis e cheios de detalhes. 

A respeito do próprio site Wxy Pipi diz: - "Este é um blog criado por Wxy porque é interessante. É negligenciado durante a semana e a velocidade de atualização é muito lenta e intermitente. 

O conteúdo é principalmente sobre design e produção de modelos de papel, e há também uma pequena quantidade de conteúdo CG e outras coisas que o blogueiro acha interessante." 

Você vai encontrar mais alguns trabalhos bem interessantes no link abaixo, ma shoje eu destaco apenas estes Gundams que, embora sejam geralmente descritos como "robôs", são especificamente "Mobile Suits" (trajes móveis) na franquia de entretenimento japonês Gundam. 

Eles são veículos de combate gigantes pilotados por humanos em uma variedade de séries de anime, mangá e jogos de videogame. Os Gundams são frequentemente destacados por seu design distinto, poder de fogo avançado e capacidade de manobra em combate. 

Eu espero que esteja tudo bem com o Wxy Pipi, já que ele mora em uma república democrática. Você não acha a China uma república democrática? Mas no próprio nome já diz que é uma república democrática... assim como o Brasil...

Offered by the official website of the production company Toei Animation, this is the Locomotive Kikansha Yaemon D51, from the acclaimed Japanese anime series Kikansha Yaemon D51 no Daibōken. 

Kikansha Yaemon D51 no Daibōken is an anime series that first aired in 1974 and continued until 1975. 

Between 1995 and 1996, the series was reissued with the same characters living new adventures. The series features captivating and developed characters, whose exciting journeys and interactions provide valuable lessons about teamwork, friendship, and overcoming challenges and was one of the first to highlight steam locomotives and historic railways, offering a nostalgic and educational view of railway transportation in Japan. 

Kikansha Yaemon D51 no Daibōken has garnered a dedicated fan base and influenced other subsequent works that explored similar themes of adventure and railway history. The English series Thomas & Friends, which debuted in 1984, likely falls into this category.

A Baby Giraffe Miniature Paper Model - by Katsuyuki Shiga Pinoart

Created by Japanese designer Katsuyuki Shiga Pinoart exclusively for the Canon website, this is the paper model of a baby giraffe.

The entire model only occupies two printed sheets and is not difficult to assemble, though the legs require attention to ensure they align. 

Now the family is complete, as Mr. Katsuyuki Shiga had previously created the male giraffe and the female giraffe (image below). The links for the entire family will be provided below at the end of this post. I will also leave a link to a stand created by Mr. Makoto Shiki that mimics an African savanna, so you can create a complete scene. 

If you intend to use these papercrafts for school projects, below I provide some information and curiosities that may be useful. 

Giraffes are herbivorous mammals known for their long necks and legs. They live in social groups, where males tend to form loose groups and females with their offspring form stable groups. 

Females are responsible for raising their offspring, caring for them from birth. Giraffe females give birth to a single calf after a gestation period of about 15 months and nurse the calves for several months. 

Giraffe calves are known to be born already capable of standing and walking within a few hours after birth. This is crucial for their survival, as it protects them from predators and allows them to follow the group quickly. 

When a giraffe gives birth, the calf falls from a height of about 2 meters to the ground. This impact helps to rupture the amniotic sac and stimulate the calf's breathing. Despite appearing to be a dangerous fall, calves are prepared for it and generally are not injured. 

During the first months of life, giraffe calves spend most of their time resting in areas protected by their mothers and other members of the group. They are very vulnerable to predators in this initial stage and depend heavily on the group's protection to survive. 

In terms of physical differences, males tend to be taller and heavier than females. An adult male can reach between 4.5 to 6 meters in height and weigh between 900 to 1,400 kg, while females are slightly smaller, with an average height of 4 to 5.5 meters and weight between 700 to 1,200 kg. 

Additionally, males generally have more prominent dark spots and thicker ossicones (the "horns") than females.

Se você pretende usar estes papercrafts para trabalhos escolares, abaixo deixo algumas informações e curiosidades que podem ser úteis. 

As girafas são mamíferos herbívoros conhecidos por seus longos pescoços e pernas. Elas vivem em grupos sociais, onde os machos tendem a formar grupos soltos e as fêmeas com os filhotes formam grupos estáveis. 

As fêmeas são responsáveis pela criação dos filhotes, cuidando deles desde o nascimento. As girafas fêmeas dão à luz a uma única cria após uma gestação de cerca de 15 meses e amamentam os filhotes por vários meses. 

Os filhotes de girafas são conhecidos por nascerem já capazes de ficar em pé e caminhar em poucas horas após o nascimento. Isso é crucial para sua sobrevivência, pois os protege de predadores e lhes permite seguir o grupo rapidamente.

Male Chimpanzee Miniature Paper Model - by Katsuyuki Shiga Pinoart

Taking up two sheets of paper, this miniature Chimpanzee was created by Japanese designer Katsuyuki Shiga Pinoart, commissioned by Canon website. 

This paper model is part of the Real Animals Series and on the website it is said that it represents a male Chimpanzee, implying that there will be a female version and perhaps a baby version in different poses. 

If you are going to use this papercraft in a school project, here are some basic information and some interesting facts that may be useful to you: 

The chimpanzee is a primate of the hominid family, genetically close to humans. They mainly inhabit the tropical forests of Central and West Africa. 

They are known for their intelligence, ability to use tools, and complex social behavior. Chimpanzees are known to engage in wars between groups. 

They can form coalitions to attack other groups of chimpanzees, resulting in violence and even deaths. 

Like humans, chimpanzees also use a form of gestural language to communicate. They can express a wide range of emotions and needs through specific gestures. 

Studies have shown that different groups of chimpanzees have distinct cultural behaviors, such as specific tool-use techniques for obtaining food. This suggests that chimpanzees have a rudimentary form of socially transmitted culture.

Este modelo de papel faz parte da Série Animais Reais e no site é dito que ele representa um Chimpanzé macho, dando a entender que virá uma versão fêmea e talvez uma versão filhote em diferentes poses.
