German Town Hall In Lindau Paper Model - by Ausschneide BogenLink Revised

This beautiful and very detailed paper model of the Town Hall In Lindau, Germany, is offered by Ausschneide Bogen website. 

A great model in N scale (1/160 scale) that is perfect for Dioramas, RPG and Wargames. This model occupies "only" 19 sheets of paper and measures 35,5 cm x 25 cm x 22 cm when printed in A4 format. 

The former town hall at Bismarckplatz, on the island of Lindau, was built in Gothic style between 1422 and 1436. In 1496, it hosted an important Imperial Diet convened by Maximilian I in the local council chamber. Currently, the meetings of the Lindau city council still take place in this historic location.

In 1576, during a renovation, the house's facade received a Renaissance addition with a stepped gable. In 1930, the facade was redesigned by the artist Wilhelm Nida-Rümelin, featuring motifs such as lime trees, farmers, fishermen, and even a sea monster. 

However, the depiction of the Dance of Death, with the struggle between heaven and earth portrayed by a skeleton and a nude woman, caused scandal. The Bavarian People's Party demanded the immediate removal of this erotic scene. 

Next to it is the new town hall, built between 1706 and 1717. Since 1806, it has served as the municipal chamber, with the mayor's apartment located on the 2nd floor. 

Since 2015, the new town hall has been exclusively a residential and commercial building. It is worth noting that the location features a carillon that plays every day at fifteen minutes to twelve.

A antiga prefeitura em Bismarckplatz, na ilha de Lindau, foi construída em estilo gótico entre 1422 e 1436. Em 1496, sediou uma importante Dieta Imperial convocada por Maximiliano I na câmara do conselho local. Atualmente, as reuniões do conselho da cidade de Lindau ainda ocorrem nesse local histórico.

Em 1576, durante uma reforma, a fachada da casa recebeu um acréscimo renascentista, com uma empena escalonada. Em 1930, a fachada foi redesenhada pelo artista Wilhelm Nida-Rümelin, apresentando motivos como tílias, agricultores, pescadores e até mesmo um monstro marinho.

No entanto, a representação da dança da morte, com a luta entre o céu e a terra retratada por um esqueleto e uma mulher nua, causou escândalo.

O Partido do Povo da Baviera exigiu a remoção imediata dessa cena erótica. Ao lado, encontra-se a nova prefeitura, construída entre 1706 e 1717. A partir de 1806, passou a ser a câmara municipal, com o apartamento do prefeito localizado no 2º andar.

Old Town Of Bad Urach Diorama Paper Model - by Ausschneide Bogen

This beautiful and highly detailed paper model of a part of the old town of Bad Urach in Wangen, Germany, is offered by the website "Ausschneide Bogen."

The entire model occupies 19 printed sheets and measures approximately 23.5 cm x 30 cm x 22 cm. It is recommended to print everything on 160gsm paper for the best result.

The ensemble of Bad Urach's old town shown in the model consists of the old town hall, the market fountain, and two half-timbered houses.

The old town hall was built around 1440 and expanded in 1562. Until the mid-19th century, bakers and butchers sold their products on the ground floor, and later there was a fruit market, followed by a municipal hall from 1939.

Today, the city administration is housed in the old town hall. The fountain in the small market square was erected around 1500 by the sculptor Martin Hillebrant. It features a five meters column rich in figures, and its water comes from the Eckis spring, a karst spring on the slope of Eichenhalde, which is channeled naturally to the market fountain.

It is said that the famous pretzel biscuit was invented in Bad Urach around 1450 and sold as a lucky item. 

This diorama is a cutout of the actual area. It can be built at different levels of difficulty, from a simple model to a professional model with LED lighting. Many of the small pieces need to be folded with tweezers to ensure the final result meets expectations.

O modelo todo ocupa 19 folhas impressas e mede aproximadamente 23,5 cms x 30 cms x 22 cms e recomenda-se imprimír tudo em folhas de gramatura 160 gramas para um melhor resultado.

O conjunto da cidade velha de Bad Urach mostrado no modelo consiste na antiga prefeitura, a fonte do mercado e duas casas em enxaimel.

A antiga Câmara Municipal foi construída por volta de 1440 e ampliada em 1562. Até meados do século XIX, padeiros e açougueiros vendiam seus produtos no térreo, depois houve um mercado de frutas e a partir de 1939 um salão municipal. Hoje a administração da cidade está instalada na antiga prefeitura.

A fonte na pequena praça do mercado foi erguida por volta de 1500 pelo escultor Martin Hillebrant com uma coluna de 5 metros rica em figuras e sua água vem da nascente Eckis. uma nascente cárstica na encosta do Eichenhalde, de onde é canalizada pelo gradiente natural até a fonte do mercado. 

Diz-se que o famoso biscoito de pretzel teria sido inventado em Bad Urach por volta de 1450, e era vendido como um item da sorte. 

Este diorama é um recorte da área real. Pode ser construído em diferentes níveis de dificuldade, desde o modelo mais simples até o modelo profissional com iluminação LED. Muitas das peças pequenas precisam ser dobradas com pinças para que o resultado final atenda às expectativas.

The Old Blacksmith's House of Blautopf was built in 1804 by blacksmith and shipbuilder Abraham Friedrich and operated until 1889. It was then converted into a mechanical workshop, which operated until 1956. In the 1960s, it was transformed into a museum for sightseeing and demonstrations. 

The water that moves the mills comes from the Blue Fountain, which supplies up to 2000 liters of water per second. Water can be diverted through a dam system to operate the mill wheel through a small channel.
