Metroid - Zoomer - A Polygonal Paper Model - by The Papercraftsman

Deep within the planet Zebes there lies a dangerous threat to humanity and the galaxy… also there are Zoomers. 

From the Metroid series, Zoomers are one of the first creatures that Samus encounters on her mission to defeat the nefarious space pirates and put an end to the Metroid threat. This high poly paper model is no small feat to construct. With a grand total of 654 parts, this model will take some time and some patience to complete. 

The Papercraftsman, aka Braden Lutz, is a Canadian gamer who enjoys making papercraft models of things and characters from his favorite videogames.

Rocky Bergen is a Canadian industrial designer and creator of this very well done miniature paper model of the iconic Commodore 64, an 8-bit home computer introduced in January 1982 by Commodore International. 

It has been listed in the Guinness World Records as the highest-selling single computer model of all time, with independent estimates placing the number sold between 10 and 17 million units.

Lucy Maud Montgomery OBE (November 30, 1874 – April 24, 1942), published as L. M. Montgomery, was a Canadian author best known for a series of novels beginning in 1908 with Anne of Green Gables. 

The book was an immediate success. The central character, Anne Shirley, an orphaned girl, made Montgomery famous in her lifetime and gave her an international following. 

This paper model offered by the South Korean website DID Wallpaper was inspired by the real house where Lucy Maud Montgomery was born.

Lucy Maud Montgomery , OBE (30 de novembro de 1874 – 24 de abril de 1942), foi uma escritora canadense, mais conhecida como L.M. Montgomery, autora de uma série de romances que tiveram início com Anne of Green Gables, publicado em 1908. 

Após sua publicação, Anne of Green Gables teve sucesso imediato. A personagem principal, Anne Shirley, uma garota órfã, tornou Montgomery famosa na época, dando-lhe inclusive destaque internacional. 

Este modelo de papel oferecido pelo site sul-coreano DID Wallpaper, foi inspirado na casa real aonde nasceu Lucy Maud Montgomery.

Eskimos And Other Peoples Of The Noth Playset Papercraft For Kids by Horrrza

This beautiful papercraft playset of an Eskimo Community has been preserved and is now kindly shared by Russian designerand modeler Horzzza. 

On the templates there is nothing to indicate the date of publication, but by the style I believe it is something created between the 1960s and 1970s. 

In addition to the characters that make up this Eskimo community taking care of their daily chores, you'll also find a ceremonial totem, a dog sled, an igloo, a kayak and even a richly decorated canoe. And then there are the wildlife of the region and even a Canadian mounted police officer.

Este belo playset de papel de uma Comunidade Esquimó foi preservado e é agora gentilmente compartilhado pelo modelista e designer russo Horzzza. 

Nos templates não há nada que indique a data da publicação, mas pelo estilo creio que seja algo criado entre a sdecadas de 1960 e 1970. 

Além dos personagens que compoem essa comunidade esquimó se ocupando de seus afazeres diários, você também irá encontrar um totem cerimonial, um trenó puxado por cães, um iglú, um caiaque e até uma canoa ricamente decorada. E ainda há os animais selvagens da região e até mesmo um oficial da polícia montada canadense.

The Ephemeral Museum - BMW R-75 Miniature Paper Model by PR Models - Assembled by Trac - via Le Forum En Papier

This miniature paper model of a BMW R-75 motorcycle in the tinny scale of 1/100 is an original work by PR Models, a Czech website. 

The model on the photo was assembled by the Canadian designer and modeler Trac, a dedicated artisan that shows his work at Le Forum en Papier community.

About the Ephemeral Museum:

I "am in the paper modeling" since 2005, although I've had contact with paper models from my childhood in the 1970s, via magazines that were sold sporadically in newsagents. I remember magazines with houses to build and dioramas/playsets of airports, western forts, nativity scenes and the like. With the advent of the internet what happened was simply a revival of the papercraft hobby for me and many other people of my generation. Today I am opening a new session here on the blog, the Ephemeral Museum , which is a place where I will show some of the models that I built all these years. I would also like this to be a space where all modelers friends could show their work, so if anyone wants to participate in this "museum", just send photos of your work and a few words, if you want, to the e-mail:

Eu "estou no papelmodelismo" desde 2005, embora eu já tivesse contato com modelos de papel desde minha infância, nos anos 1970, via revistas que eram vendidas esporadicamente em bancas de jornal. Lembro que haviam revistas com casas para montar e dioramas/playsets de aeroportos, fortes-apache, presépios e coisas do tipo. Com o advento da internet o que houve foi simplesmente um renascimento do hobby do papelmodelismo para mim e muitas outras pessoas de minha geração. Hoje eu estou inaugurando uma nova sessão aqui no blog, o Ephemeral Museum, que é um lugar aonde irei mostrar alguns dos modelos que eu construí em todos estes anos. Também gostaria que esse fosse um espaço aonde todos os amigos modelistas pudessem mostrar seus trabalhos, sendo assim, se alguém quiser participar deste "museu", basta mandar fotos de seu trabalho e algumas palavras para o e-mail abaixo:

Hyper-Dolphin Remotely Operated Submarine Paper Model by Jamstec

Offered by Jamstec, Japanese website, this is the Hyper-Dolphin paper model. Hyper-Dolphin is a remotely operated vehicle created in Canada in 1999, which is able to conduct surveys at a maximum depth of 3,000m. 

Equipped with a ultra-high-sensitivity high-definition TV camera, the vehicle has facilitated visual and filmed surveys in the deep sea. Samples on the ocean floor can also be collected by the two manipulators (mechanical arms) on the vehicle.

Oferecido pelo site japonês Jamstec, este é o modelo de papel do Hyper-Dolphin, um veículo de operação remota fabricado no Canadá em 1999, que é capaz de realizar pesquisas até a profundidade máxima de 3.000 metros. 

Equipado com uma câmera de TV de alta definição de alta sensibilidade, o veículo facilita pesquisas visuais e filmadas em alto do mar. Amostras no fundo do oceano também podem ser coletadas pelos dois manipuladores (braços mecânicos) do veículo.
