This Is Not Paper, But... - Ship In A Bottle - All You Need To Know To Build Your Own - by Awesomecreations

I believe I've posted two tutorials here on the blog about ships in bottles, but this is the more detailed and the most closely than the ancient sailors did during their long and uncertain trips in the Golden Age of Sail, as a way to pass time and not thinking too much on risks that they ran. 

This very well done tutorial, full of photos was created by a South African guy called Awesomecreations and was originally posted at Instructables website. Even if you never think of building a ship in a bottle, it's worth taking a look at the ingenious techniques used.

Eu creio que já postei dois tutoriais aqui no blog sobre barcos em garrafas, mas este é mais detalhado e o que mais se aproxima do que os antigos marinheiros faziam durante suas longas e incertas viagens na Era de Ouro das Navegações, como uma forma de passar o tempo e não pensarem muito nos riscos que corriam. 

Este tutorial super detalhado e repleto de fotos foi criado por um sul-africano auto-intitulado Awesomecreations e foi originalmente postado no site Instructables. Mesmo que você nunca pense em construir um barco em uma garrafa, vale a pena dar uma olhada nas engenhosas técnicas usadas.

This Is Not Paper, But... San Francisco - 1906 - Four Days Before The Disaster

This is a 35mm film made ​​in San Francisco (USA) in 1906. The camera was mounted on the front of a tram that goes a great avenue of the city (Market Street) to about 15 km per hour. How document is fascinating for two reasons: first because there were only 11 who the Lumière brothers had patented their first camera and made ​​the first film, and second because the images show a city that four days later would be practically destroyed by the famous earthquake and fire April 18 (1906). The background music is from Air, a French band. The track is called La Femme D'Argent and is from the 1998`s album Moon Safari.


Este é um filme em 35mm feito em San Francisco (EUA), em 1906. A câmera foi montada na frente de um bonde que percorre uma grande avenida da cidade (Market Street) a cerca de 15 km por hora. Como documento é fascinante por dois motivos: primeiro porque havia apenas 11 anos que os irmãos Lumière haviam patenteado sua primeira câmera e feito seu primeiro filme, e segundo porque as imagens mostram uma cidade que quatro dias mais tarde seria praticamente destruída pelo famoso terremoto e incêndio de 18 de abril (1906). A música de fundo é da dupla Air, de música eletrônica. A faixa se chama La Femme D'Argent e é do album Moon Safari, de 1998.

Ao olhar para as imagens, a primeira impressão é: "oh, é muito difícil construir esta casa de palitos de picolé", mas com os templates e com o video-tutorial muito bem detalhado, qualquer pessoa que realmente queira, consegue montar uma igualzinha. 

Acho que esse tutorial será bem apreciado pelos entusiástas dos Wargames e quando eu tiver tempo, vou tentar montar uma para mim.

"For this music video, director Rob Shaw took his robot minions quite seriously. In an early section of the video you'll notice soldier robots popping out of paper sheets and folding themselves into three dimensional shapes. This was actually how each robot was made. Rob Shaw created a design with which he could print out paper cut outs of each robot, which would then be folded into the characters. Known for his character animation, Shaw used an all paper set and cast of characters in a combination of techniques to create this robot-ruled Rome. You'll notice that many shots were created using 2D techniques, while others utilized 3D paper puppets. Rob Shaw's music video for the They Might Be Giants song, "I'm Impressed" won a gold plaque at the Chicago International Film Festival." - Bent Image Lab

Aqui estão as instruções passo a passo para fazer um simples robô que realmente anda. Eu usei um mecanismo de abertura de tampa de um velho CD player para fazer o motor do robô." - Assista o vídeo e veja que não é tão difícil assim fazer esse robozinho, e também é muito divertido.
