Created by Japanese designer Pacaroom, this is a perfect paper model version of the 1996`s Lotus Elise S1 in 1/30 scale. The Lotus Elise is a two-seat, rear-wheel drive, mid-engined roadster conceived in early 1994 and released in September 1996 by the British manufacturer Lotus Cars. The Elise has a fibreglass body shell atop its bonded extruded aluminium chassis that provides a rigid platform for the suspension, while keeping weight and production costs to a minimum. It is capable of speeds up to 240 km/h (150 mph). Criada pelo designer japonês Pacaroom, eis aqui uma perfeita versão em papel da Lotus Elise S1 de 1996 na escala 1/30. O Lotus Elise é um roadster de motor central com tração traseira e dois lugares, concebido no início de 1994 e lançado em setembro de 1996 pelo fabricante britânico Lotus Cars. O Elise possui uma carcaça de fibra de vidro no topo do chassi de alumínio extrudado que fornece uma plataforma rígida para a suspensão, mantendo ao mínimo o peso e os custos de produção. É capaz de velocidades de até 240 km/h (150 mph). 2002`s BMW Cabriolet Paper Model - by Ichiyama`s Paper Cards

It may not seem but the BMW Cabriolet you see on the pictures of this post, is made entirely of paper (and glue). Created by Japanese designer Takayoshi Ichiyama, the model is in 1/30 scale and available in nine different colors. One tip: the glass of the windshield can be made with plastic bottles of soft drinks, such as Coca-Cola.

1948`s Fend Flitzer Three-Wheeled Paper Model - by Kamaboko

This 1948`s Fend Flitzer Three-Wheeled paper model was created by Japanese designer Kamaboko. The Fend Flitzer was a three-wheeled invalid carriage designed and built by Fritz Fend. The Fend Flitzer established many of the basic concepts on which Fend's later Messerschmitt Kabinenroller microcars were developed. About 250 Flitzers were built between 1948 and the end of production in 1951.

O Fend Flitzer estabeleceu muitos dos conceitos básicos sobre os quais se desenvolveram os micro-carros Messerschmitt Kabinenroller. Em torno de 250 Flitzers foram construídos entre 1948 e 1951, o ano em que se encerrou sua produção.

The Real Thing

This cool paper model of the Fend Flitzer invalid Vehicle was create by Japanese designer Takayoshi Ichiyama. The Fend Flitzer was a three-wheeled invalid carriage designed and built by Fritz Fend. The Flitzer established many of the basic concepts on which Fend's later Messerschmitt Kabinenroller microcars were developed. In 1948, Fend, a former aeronatical engineer and technical officer in the Luftwaffe, began production of a tricycle invalid carriage in his workshop in Rosenheim, Germany. The tricycle had a front wheel that was steered by handlebars and powered by a mechanism actuated by pushing back and forth on the handlebars. Shortly afterward, it was offered with a 38 cc (2.3 cu in) Victoria two-stroke proprietary engine normally used for motorizing bicycles. Fend then designed the Flitzer, a larger, better-enclosed invalid carriage. It was designed from the start to be powered by a gasoline engine. Whereas the earlier tricycle was both steered and powered by a single front wheel, the Flitzer had a pair of front wheels linked to the steering mechanism and a powered rear wheel. - Wikipedia


Este belo modelo de papel de um veículo para pessoas debilitadas, o Fend Flitzer, foi criado pelo designer japonês Takayoshi Ichiyama. O Fend Flitzer foi um carro de três rodas projetado e construído por Fritz Fend para ser usado por pessoas debilitadas ou amputadas, visto que haviam muitas pessoas nessa situação após a segunda Grande Guerra. Este veículo estabeleceu muitos dos conceitos básicos sobre os quais foram desenvolvidos todos os outros mini veículos vindos depois. Em 1948, Fend, um ex-engenheiro aeronatical e diretor técnico da Luftwaffe, começou a produção de um carro triciclo em sua oficina na Alemanha. O triciclo tinha uma roda dianteira e usava um guidão ao invés de volante.
