Classic Movie Monsters Papercraft Collection - by Professor Plastik`s Paper Empire

In the spirit of Halloween, today I present, here is another great find for papercraft fans and classic horror lovers. 

On the Paper Empire website, created by a designer known as The Professor, you will find a wonderful collection of free models titled Monster Figure Models. 

The collection features some of the most iconic monsters from the golden age of horror cinema: Frankenstein, Dracula, the Mummy, the Wolfman, the Phantom of the Opera, and other classic creatures. 

Each figure is fully poseable, with movable arms, legs, and heads, allowing builders to create dynamic displays. 

In addition to the articulated figures, there are also two hako-clone paper toys, the Mummy and Frankenstein, offering a simpler, box-style version of these monsters. This combination adds a playful touch and shows the creator’s range and creativity. 

The author, known only as The Professor, is responsible for all the content on Paper Empire. Although little personal information is available, his tone on the site reflects enthusiasm and a welcoming community spirit, encouraging visitors to download, build, and share his creations. 

All models are free to download, with rights reserved to the author. It is an excellent find for anyone who loves classic movie monsters and wants to try articulated paper figures that are both detailed and fun to assemble, a perfect blend of nostalgia and creativity for Papermau readers.

Bem no clima de Dia das Bruxas, hoje apresento mais uma boa descoberta para os fãs de papercraft e de clássicos do cinema de terror. 

No site Paper Empire, mantido por um autor que se identifica como The Professor, há uma bela coleção de modelos gratuitos intitulada Monster Figure Models. 

Os modelos retratam os grandes monstros do período dourado do horror: Frankenstein, Drácula, a Múmia, o Lobisomem, o Fantasma da Ópera e outros ícones do gênero. 

Cada figura é totalmente articulada, com braços, pernas e cabeça móveis, o que permite posicioná-las de várias formas depois de montadas. 

Além dessa série de monstros articulados, há também dois paper toys no estilo hako-clone — a Múmia e o Frankenstein — que trazem uma versão mais simples e divertida desses personagens. Essa variedade mostra bem a versatilidade e o bom humor do criador. 

 O autor, conhecido apenas como The Professor, é o responsável por todo o conteúdo do Paper Empire. Embora não haja muitas informações pessoais sobre ele, suas palavras na página revelam entusiasmo e um espírito comunitário, convidando os visitantes a baixar, montar e compartilhar suas criações.

Rewind - The VHS Monster Paper Toy - by Joshua Alexander

I found this fun little project on Behance called Paper Toy Monster, created by Joshua Alexander from the United States. 

The model features a small paper monster full of personality, with simple shapes and a look that mixes humor and nostalgia. It’s one of those papertoys that stand out for their style rather than complexity, easy to build and instantly charming. 

According to the author, this monster’s name is Rewind — he’s a VHS tape that, now obsolete, decides to leave the shelf and “take revenge” on modern technologies like DVDs and Blu-rays. 

In other words, there’s a story behind it, a reason that brings this paper creature to life. It’s not just another monster. That detail adds a lot of charm - it shows that the creator thought not only about the shape, but also about the character’s personality. 

Although it was originally made as a design school project, Joshua managed to create something that any papercraft fan can appreciate. It’s easy to assemble, has a cool retro vibe, and above all, captures the playful spirit that makes papercraft such a special hobby.

No Behance encontrei um projeto bem divertido chamado Paper Toy Monster, criado por Joshua Alexander, dos Estados Unidos. 

O modelo mostra um pequeno monstro de papel cheio de personalidade, com formas simples e um visual que mistura humor e nostalgia. É daqueles papertoys que chamam atenção pelo estilo, sem precisar de muitos detalhes ou técnicas complicadas para montar. 

Segundo o autor, esse monstro se chama Rewind, ele é uma fita VHS que agora, obsoleta, resolve sair da estante para “vingar-se” das tecnologias mais modernas como DVDs e Blu-rays. 

Ou seja: há ali uma história, uma motivação que dá vida ao objeto de papel, não é só um monstrinho qualquer. Esse detalhe me agrada muito - mostra que o criador pensou não só na forma, mas no caráter do boneco. 

Mesmo sendo um projeto feito originalmente para um trabalho de design, Joshua criou algo que qualquer fã de papercraft pode apreciar. É fácil de montar, tem um visual retrô simpático e, mais do que tudo, transmite aquele espírito divertido que faz do papercraft um hobby tão especial.

Kaibutsu-Kun - Dracula, Wolfman, Franken & Kaibutsu-Kun Paper Toys by Paper Block

Japanese designer BL, from Paper Block website shares with all of us these nice characters from Kaibutsu-kun tv series. 

Kaibutsu-kun is a 1970`s Japanese Anime and Mangá that tells the story of the prince of the land of monsters. 

As part of his training to succeed the throne, he visits the human world, where he has various adventures with other monsters.

O designer BL, do site Paper Block compartilha conosco estes modelos de papel bem legais dos personagens da série Kaibutsu-kun. 

Kaibutsu-kun é uma série de animação e Mangá dos anos 70 que conta a história de um príncipe da terra dos monstros. 

Como parte de seu treinamento para assumir o trono de seu reino, ele tem que visitar o mundo humano, onde passa por várias aventuras ao lado de seus amigos monstros.

Five Nights At Freddy's 2 - The Puppet Paper Toy - by Adogopaper

This paper toy of the smiling and evil Puppet, from the game Five Nights at Freddy's 2, was created by the Brazilian designer Igor, aka Adogopaper, who posted on his page on DeviantArt. 

Five Nights at Freddy's 2 is an independent game, point-and-click style, a survival horror, in which the player must survive locked in at the Pizzeria Freddy Fazbear, trying to avoid the evil animatronics. 

You will find many other paper toys featuring characters from Five Nights At Freddy's videogames series on Adogoberto's profile, as can be seen in the third image of this post.

Halloween Special - Classic Universal Monsters Poseable Paper Toys by Paper Empire

Here are five articulated paper toys of classic monsters from Universal Studios, all created by the American designer and modeler Chris "The Professor" Spitler, from Paper Empire website. 

You will find the Monster of Frankenstein, The original Gothic zombie superstar; Count Dracula, The dapper dead Transylvanian; the Mummy, the undead Egyptian terror; the Wolf Man, the hairy horror himself and the Phanton of the Opera, the mangled maniacal musician. 

In the same link you will also find two more paper toys, Frankenstein and the Mummy, but in a much simpler style, suitable for children. 

About Chris, I took the liberty of reproducing below the biography he published on his website: 

"Pleased to meet you; so happy you stopped by. I'm Chris Spitler, but around here they call me The Professor. When I'm not teaching Drama and Journalism to Middle School kids, or jamming with various blues bands, I keep myself busy designing paper models. I've been obsessed with this hobby for over a decade, and have made a lot of friends along the way. 

I ran another website in the early 2000s, and met and collaborated with lots of great artists. I took a break for a few years to devote myself to music and teaching, but then this crazy locked-down world brought me back to this awesome hobby as a means to keep my sanity. Up until now, my focus has has been primarily on pop culture subjects drawn from my favorite franchises as both a child and an adult, and I don't see that stopping anytime soon.

However, I have begun to explore more original designs, and plan to pursue that avenue further in the days to come. I offer these designs for free to all interested parties, and ask only that you respect their source and leave your "Pirate Hat" back on the boat. Also, I would love to see pictures of any models that you build.

"Prazer em conhecê-lo; que bom que você passou por aqui. Sou Chris Spitler, mas por aqui me chamam de Professor.
