Simple John Wick Papercraft With Dog Companion - by Paper Rabbit

For those who enjoy action movies and the John Wick franchise in particular, here is a very charming paper toy that brings the iconic hitman and his loyal dog into a simple and easy to build paper model. 

The design was created by a Korean artist who shares his work on the Paper Rabbit blog, always offering pop culture characters in friendly, compact and well-crafted formats. 

This paper toy fits on a single sheet, making it perfect for anyone who wants a quick and relaxing project. 

The parts are large, easy to cut and straightforward to assemble, with a style that recalls classic blocky paper toys while still keeping the recognizable look of John Wick, including the dark suit and long hair.

O modelo foi criado por um autor coreano que compartilha seus trabalhos no blog Paper Rabbit, sempre trazendo personagens da cultura pop em formatos simples, diretos e muito bem desenhados. 

Este paper toy ocupa apenas uma folha, o que o torna perfeito para quem procura um projeto rápido, leve e divertido. As peças são grandes, fáceis de recortar e não exigem nenhuma habilidade avançada, apenas paciência e boa vontade. 

A estética lembra aqueles modelos mais quadrados que fizeram sucesso anos atrás, mas com detalhes suficientes para reconhecer imediatamente o visual marcante de John Wick, incluindo o terno escuro e o cabelo longo. 

O cachorro vem como uma pequena peça complementar, completando o conjunto e reforçando a referência à história que deu origem à saga.

Ultraman Taro - Magma Raiser TDF MRI Vehicle - by PapertoyBox

Available on the Japanese website PapertoyBox, this is the paper model of the Magma Raiser, the powerful underground vehicle from the Ultraman Taro series. 

The Magma Raiser is a drilling machine used by the defense organization TDF, the Terrestrial Defense Force, and appears in the show fighting threats that emerge from beneath the Earth’s surface. 

With its distinctive front drill and wide tracks, it is one of the most memorable machines in the Ultraman universe. 

The papercraft was carefully designed and shared on PapertoyBox, but the author’s name is not mentioned on the site. 

Even so, the model keeps the high-quality standard typical of Japanese creations, with well-fitting parts and a faithful design that matches the vehicle seen on television. 

The file comes as a PDF, ready to print and assemble, and takes up a few pages depending on the chosen print size. 

The Magma Raiser belongs to the long tradition of TDF vehicles, always ready to battle monsters and defend the planet. Ultraman Taro, first aired in the 1970s, captured the imagination of generations with its giant heroes and creative machines.

Com seu visual característico de broca frontal e esteiras laterais, ele é uma das máquinas mais lembradas do universo Ultraman. 

O papercraft foi cuidadosamente criado e compartilhado no PapertoyBox, mas o nome do autor não é mencionado no site. 

Mesmo assim, o modelo mantém o alto padrão de qualidade típico das criações japonesas, com peças bem ajustadas e um design fiel ao veículo visto na televisão. 

O arquivo vem em formato PDF, pronto para imprimir e montar, e ocupa algumas folhas, dependendo do tamanho em que for impresso.

Thirteen Years Later, Here's the Zombie In A Barrel Papercraft by Papermau - Download Now!

This is the Zombie in a Barrel papercraft, created in 2011 and originally published on the blog in 2012. For many years, the model was lost, as I had misplaced the original templates. 

Fortunately, thanks to the generosity of my friend Revell-Fan, a member of the Zealot Hobby Forum, the papercraft could come back to life! He kept a copy of the files and kindly shared them with me, allowing me to republish the model here on the blog.

Zombie in a Barrel is a small horror model, freely inspired by classics such as The Return of the Living Dead II, Re-Animator, Shaun of the Dead, and Zombieland. I would also include The Walking Dead comics on that list, but not the TV series – I found it rather dull. 

For me, the barrel is an iconic symbol of zombie movies, which motivated me to create this model. I always wanted to have one of these on my shelf, and the modeling challenge, done entirely in MS Paint, was an extra reward. 

Besides getting the templates back, I also found the original Zombie papercraft I'd made in 2012. It was in a dusty box, protected from sunlight and moisture, and, as you can see from the GIF image that opens this post, it's in perfect condition, despite being 13 years old. 

So I drilled a hole in the bottom of the barrel and inserted a small LED light bulb, one of those that change colors. The effect is what you see in the first image of this post. The color changes are slower, but I had to reduce the number of frames and the quality of the GIF file so it wouldn't be too heavy when loading. 

To calculate the barrel’s diameter and design the “lids,” I measured the circumference and divided it by π (3.1416...), a trick I also use to determine the wheel diameters on my paper car models, such as the Rum-Runner - Oldtimer Pickup Truck. 

The zombie’s “face” was adapted from a Tales from the Crypt cover, though I don’t quite remember which one. 

The images below, taken from The Return of the Living Dead (1985), were the main inspiration for this papercraft, helping define both the look and the mood of the project. One of them shows the zombie “Tarman” before being reanimated by the toxic gas 2-4-5 Trioxin, and the other displays the army serial number that I reproduced on my own barrel.

Além de ter conseguido os templates novamente, eu ainda achei o papercraft original do Zumbi que eu havia montado em 2012. Ele estava em uma caixa empoeirada, protegido da luz solar e da humidade e, como você podem ver pela imagem .GIF que abre este post, está em perfeitas condições, apesar de seus 13 anos de idade. 

Então eu fiz um furo na parte de baixo do barril e coloquei uma pequena lâmpada de LED dessas que mudam de cor. O efeito é esse que vocês podem ver na primeira imagem do post. A mudança de cores é mais lenta, mas eu tive que diminuir o número de frames e a qualidade do .GIF para não fica rmuito pesado na hora de carregar o post. 

O Zombie in a Barrel é um pequeno modelo de terror, inspirado livremente em clássicos como A Volta dos Mortos-Vivos II, Re-Animator, Shaun of the Dead e Zombieland. Eu incluiria também os quadrinhos de The Walking Dead nessa lista, mas deixo a série de TV de fora – achei-a bem monótona. 

Para mim, o barril é um ícone dos filmes de zumbis, o que me motivou a criar este modelo. Sempre quis ter um desses na estante, e o desafio de modelagem, todo feito no MS Paint, foi um bônus. 

Para calcular o diâmetro do barril e criar as "tampas", medi a circunferência e dividi pelo π (3,1416...), um truque que também uso para calcular o diâmetro de pneus em carros de papel, como o Rum-Runner - Oldtimer Pickup Truck. 

O "rosto" do zumbi é uma adaptação de alguma capa de Tales from the Crypt, embora eu não me lembre exatamente qual. 

As imagens acima, tiradas de The Return of the Living Dead (1985), foram a inspiração principal para este papercraft, guiando o visual e o espírito do projeto. Uma delas mostra o zumbi "Tarman", antes de ser reanimado pelo gás tóxico 2-4-5 Trioxine, e a outra exibe o número de série do exército, que eu repliquei no meu barril.

Batman: Legends Of The Dark Knight - Snow Diorama Papercraftby Papermau - Download Now!

This paper diorama is a recreation of one of the covers from the series Batman: Legends of the Dark Knight – Snow. The model shows Batman peeking through a window, in a scene inspired by issues 192 to 196 of the series. 

The story, written by J. H. Williams III and Dan Curtis Johnson with art by Seth Fisher, follows the early career of the Dark Knight as he investigates crimes linked to the past of a notorious villain. 

The main plot involves the confrontation between Batman and Mr. Freeze, exploring the hero’s ethical dilemmas, the impact of science on crime, and the personal struggles of the characters. In addition to Batman and Mr. Freeze, the story features secondary characters that help build the cold and melancholic atmosphere of the series. The work was well received by readers, who praised the balance of action, suspense, and Seth Fisher’s original art. 

The papercraft was originally published on this blog in April 2016 and is now being republished as a PDF with some information about the series. In 2016, I published only a single sheet with the pieces in PNG format, without any additional details. 

The model fits on a single sheet and includes the environment depicted on the cover: a simple room with wooden furniture, a wall clock, a bookshelf, a window, and a snow globe with a small snowman on the floor. These elements reinforce the cold and introspective atmosphere of the series. 

On the original cover, the snow globe is in the foreground, appearing larger than it actually is. In the papercraft, I preserved this illusion, making it noticeably bigger than normal. I’m not entirely convinced it was the best decision, but what’s done is done, and I won’t be changing this model anymore. 

Another feature I added is cut-out squares on the model’s ceiling. If you place a light source above, these openings allow the light to pass through, simulating daylight coming through the window and creating a nice effect. 

The diorama is a small, easy-to-assemble piece, ideal for Batman fans, comic book enthusiasts, and anyone who enjoys recreating iconic scenes from the comics.

Este diorama em papel é uma recriação de uma das capas da série Batman: Legends of the Dark Knight – Snow. O modelo mostra Batman espreitando através de uma janela, em uma cena inspirada nas edições 192 a 196 da série. 

A história, escrita por J. H. Williams III e Dan Curtis Johnson com arte de Seth Fisher, acompanha o início da carreira do Cavaleiro das Trevas enquanto ele investiga crimes ligados ao passado de um vilão notório. 

A trama principal envolve o confronto entre Batman e Mr. Freeze, explorando os dilemas éticos do herói, o impacto da ciência na criminalidade e o drama pessoal dos personagens. O modelo ocupa apenas uma folha e inclui o ambiente retratado na capa: uma sala simples, com móveis de madeira, relógio de parede, estante, uma janela e um globo com um boneco de neve no chão. Esses elementos reforçam a atmosfera fria e introspectiva da série. 

Na capa original, o globo de neve está em primeiro plano, dando a impressão de ser maior do que realmente é. No papercraft, mantive essa ilusão, fazendo-o bem maior que o normal. Não estou totalmente convencido de que foi a melhor decisão, mas o que está feito, está feito e não vou mexer mais nesse modelo. 

Outra alteração que fiz foi incluir quadrados recortáveis no teto do modelo. Se você colocar algum tipo de iluminação por cima, esses espaços permitirão que a luz passe, simulando a claridade entrando pela vidraça e criando um efeito interessante. 

O diorama é uma peça pequena, de montagem fácil, indicada para fãs de Batman, de quadrinhos em geral e para quem aprecia dioramas que recriam cenas icônicas das HQs.

Zombie In A Barrel Papercraft - A 2011 Lost Papermau Classic

This is the Zombie in a Barrel paper model, a small horror papercraft I created back in 2011, right at the beginning of the Papermau blog. It stands about 11 cm tall - just the right size to sit among your zombie and B-movie collectibles on a shelf. 

The idea came from the movies I used to watch when I was a teenager, especially those late-night horror and zombie films on TV. The model was loosely inspired by classics like Return of the Living Dead II and Re-Animator. 

The barrel, with that mysterious green and toxic liquid, has always seemed to me an iconic symbol of zombie movies - a simple object filled with references to the pop culture of horror. 

When I decided to turn that idea into a paper model, it became a fun little challenge. I wanted something that captured the feel of those 80s horror comedies - a mix of creepy and funny.

After a few tries, the result was exactly what I had in mind: a zombie confined inside a toxic barrel, waiting to break free and join your horror collection. 

Unfortunately, over the years and through a few hard drive crashes, I lost the original template files. I no longer have them, so I can’t republish the model for download. All that remained were the assembly photos and a very low-resolution template taken from a post from the time, which I used for this post. 

If by any chance an old visitor of the blog still has the templates saved and would like to share them, I would be very grateful. It would be great to bring back this little piece of Papermau history and one of my earliest creations in the world of papercrafts.

Este é o modelo de papel do Zumbi no Barril, um pequeno papercraft de terror que criei lá em 2011, bem no começo das atividades do blog Papermau. Ele tem cerca de 11 cm de altura - o tamanho ideal para ficar entre seus itens de zumbis e filmes B na estante. 

A ideia nasceu dos filmes que eu assistia quando era adolescente, especialmente aqueles clássicos de terror e zumbis que passavam nas madrugadas da TV. 

O modelo foi livremente inspirado em produções como O Retorno dos Mortos-Vivos II e Re-Animator. 

O barril, com aquele líquido verde misterioso e tóxico, sempre me pareceu um símbolo icônico dos filmes de zumbis - um objeto simples, mas cheio de referências à cultura pop do horror. 

Quando decidi transformar essa ideia em um modelo de papel, encarei como um pequeno desafio. Eu queria algo que tivesse o clima daqueles filmes de terror dos anos 80, meio assustadores e meio engraçados ao mesmo tempo. 

Depois de algumas tentativas, o resultado foi exatamente o que eu imaginava: um zumbi aprisionado dentro de um barril tóxico, pronto para tentar escapar e se juntar à sua coleção de horrores em miniatura. 

Infelizmente, com o passar dos anos e algumas queimas de HD pelo caminho, acabei perdendo os arquivos originais deste papercraft. Não tenho mais os templates, e por isso não consigo republicar o modelo para download novamente. Só o que restou foram as fotos da montagem e um template em baixíssima resolução tirado de um post da época, os quais eu usei para esta postagem. 

Se por acaso algum visitante antigo do blog ainda tiver os arquivos salvos e quiser compartilhá-los, eu ficaria muito agradecido. Seria ótimo poder trazer de volta este pequeno pedaço da história do Papermau e do meu início no mundo dos papercrafts.

Squid Game - Chibi Style Pink Soldier Papercraft - by Pluck Design

On the Playcraft blog there is a papercraft of the Pink Soldier from Squid Game, the one with the triangle mask. 

The model was created by Pluck Design, the author behind several other small and fun papercraft projects shared on the same site. 

The papercraft is offered in two formats: PNG and PDO (Pepakura). It takes up two printed sheets. You can print the PNG files to cut and build the model, and use the PDO file as a visual guide in Pepakura Designer. 

With the 3D view in Pepakura, the builder can rotate the model, check folds and connections, and see how each part fits together before gluing. 

The design keeps the main features of the Pink Soldier: the hooded jumpsuit, the simple weapon, and the triangular mask. The style is simplified and stylized, which makes the model easy to build while keeping it instantly recognizable. 

Squid Game is a South Korean series released on Netflix, where people with heavy debts compete in deadly versions of children’s games for a big cash prize. 

The pink soldiers are the masked guards who control the contestants and enforce the rules. The triangle mask indicates a middle rank, higher than the circle guards but lower than the square ones. 

This papercraft captures one of the most iconic visuals from the series in a compact, printable form, perfect for fans who enjoy combining paper modeling and pop culture.

O modelo foi criado por Pluck Design, autor de vários outros papercrafts simples e criativos disponíveis no mesmo site.

Squid Game é uma série sul-coreana da Netflix em que pessoas endividadas participam de versões mortais de jogos infantis para tentar ganhar um grande prêmio em dinheiro. 

Os soldados rosas são os guardas mascarados que controlam os participantes e fazem cumprir as regras. A máscara triangular indica um nível intermediário na hierarquia, acima dos guardas de círculo e abaixo dos de quadrado. 

Este papercraft traz um dos visuais mais marcantes da série em uma forma compacta e imprimível, ideal para fãs que gostam de unir cultura pop e modelismo em papel.
