With the FIFA World Cup 2026 already underway and soccer fans following every round with excitement, Indonesian designer El Kerajinan has prepared a very special collection for football and papercraft enthusiasts. Inspired by the unmistakable blocky look of Minecraft, he created a series of paper toys representing the 24 national teams taking part in the tournament, each one wearing its official uniform and preserving the colors and details that make every team easy to recognize.

Instead of reproducing specific famous players, the idea behind this collection is to represent each national team through simple and charming Minecraft-style characters. The result is a colorful and fun set of paper toys, perfect for decorating a desk, following the World Cup matches, or even creating small sports-themed dioramas.

The FIFA World Cup 2026 is especially meaningful for fans in the United States, as the country shares hosting duties with Canada and Mexico in the first edition of the tournament held across three nations. With matches taking place in several American cities, this World Cup has a special place in the growing soccer culture in the U.S., where more and more fans are discovering the same passion that moves crowds all around the world.

The models are offered for free by El Kerajinan through a video published on his YouTube channel. Diferentemente de reproduzir jogadores específicos, a proposta desta coleção é representar cada seleção nacional através de simpáticos personagens no estilo Minecraft. O resultado é uma coleção divertida, colorida e muito fácil de montar, perfeita para decorar a bancada de trabalho, acompanhar os jogos da Copa ou até compor pequenos dioramas e cenários esportivos.

A Copa do Mundo FIFA 2026 já entrou para a história por ser a primeira realizada em três países anfitriões, Estados Unidos, Canadá e México, além de reunir um número recorde de seleções participantes. Yokohama Stadium Miniature Paper Model - by Kohoku Ward Office

Among the many forgotten corners of the internet, some pages manage to withstand the passage of time thanks to the quiet, persistent work of the Internet Archive. 

One such gem dates back to the early 2000s and was originally published on the official website of the Kohoku Ward Office in Yokohama, Japan. 

It’s a charming paper model of the Yokohama International Stadium, also known as Nissan Stadium, a piece that, despite its simplicity, carries a bit of Japan’s sports history. 

The papercraft, which was once available for free download from the city’s website (and can still be accessed today through the Wayback Machine), offers a compact representation of the stadium that hosted the final match of the 2002 FIFA World Cup. 

With clean lines and simplified forms, the model captures the iconic oval structure of the arena, the support pillars, and even subtle hints of the inner seating stands. 

More than just a hobby project, this model was also part of an educational and cultural initiative. 

By inviting local residents, especially children and students, to build the stadium at home, the city government helped create an emotional bond with one of Yokohama’s most iconic landmarks.

It was a creative way to foster regional pride while promoting one of the key symbols of modern Japanese sports infrastructure. 

Today, this small treasure survives thanks to the Wayback Machine (Internet Archive). Through it, the original PDF with the parts can still be downloaded and printed by anyone willing to rescue a piece of this digital memory. 

For fans of football, architecture, Japanese culture, or simply vintage papercraft, this model of the Yokohama Stadium is a true collectible.

Entre os muitos recantos esquecidos da internet, há páginas que resistem ao tempo graças ao trabalho silencioso do Internet Archive. 

Uma dessas preciosidades vem diretamente do início dos anos 2000 e foi originalmente publicada no site oficial da Prefeitura do Distrito de Kohoku, em Yokohama, no Japão. 

Trata-se de um simpático modelo de papel representando o Estádio Internacional de Yokohama, também conhecido como Nissan Stadium, uma peça que, mesmo simples, carrega consigo um pedaço da história esportiva japonesa. 

O papercraft, que podia ser baixado gratuitamente no site da prefeitura (e hoje via Wayback Machine), oferece uma versão compacta do estádio que foi palco da final da Copa do Mundo de 2002. 

Com linhas retas e formas simplificadas, o modelo captura a estrutura oval característica da arena, os pilares de sustentação e até sugestões das arquibancadas internas. 

Mais do que apenas um passatempo, este modelo foi também uma iniciativa educativa e cultural. 

Ao convidar os moradores, especialmente crianças e estudantes, a montar o estádio em casa, a administração local criava um vínculo afetivo com um dos símbolos mais importantes da cidade. 

Era uma maneira criativa de reforçar o orgulho regional e, ao mesmo tempo, divulgar um dos marcos esportivos do Japão contemporâneo. 

Hoje, essa pequena joia sobrevive graças ao Wayback Machine (Internet Archive). Através dele o PDF com as peças ainda pode ser baixado e impresso por qualquer pessoa disposta a resgatar um pedaço dessa memória digital. 

Para os apaixonados por futebol, arquitetura, cultura japonesa ou simplesmente papercraft vintage, este modelo do Estádio de Yokohama é uma verdadeira relíquia.

3D Challenge Tech Demo - Basketball Papercraft - by Papermau Download Now!

Thanks to the textures extracted from the "3D Challenge Tech Demo" by JJ314, from the Models Resource website, I was able to create this papercraft of a simple basketball. 

Since JJ314 only shared the model in .dae format (Digital Asset Exchange) – a type of file used to store 3D models based on the COLLADA specification, which facilitates sharing and transferring 3D data between different modeling, animation, and game software – I had to convert it to .obj format to open it in Pepakura. 

This allowed me to "unfold" the 3D model and organize the parts properly for printing on paper. Additionally, I was able to replace and even modify the textures, creating new color options beyond the two originally available. 

During the process, I learned some interesting things about Pepakura while working on this simple model. 

If you liked it and want to download the templates, the download is easy and secure, directly via Google Drive. 

The model is available in six different colors, and I’ve organized everything into a single PDF file so you only need to download once. 

An interesting fact about this model is that it was extracted from the "3D Challenge," a tech demo developed by Nintendo for the Nintendo 3DS, presented at E3 2010. 

This demo was created to showcase the console's 3D capabilities, challenging players to distinguish between similar 3D objects, such as cubes and strawberries. 

At the time, the "3D Challenge" was shown only to the press during a closed event at E3 and was not accessible to the general public at the expo. 

However, in 2020, the demo was made available online after being discovered on a Nintendo 3DS development unit and properly extracted. 

Below, at the end of this post, I leave the links to download the papercraft, to the Textures Resource website (where I got the 3D model), the Image to STL website (which transformed the .dae file into .obj) and the official Pepakura website, where you can download a free version of Pepakura Designer (this version does not save your disassembled files, but you can take a printscreen of the screen and save your template).

Graças às texturas extraídas da "3D Challenge Tech Demo" por JJ314, do site Models Resource, consegui criar este papercraft de uma bola de basquete simples. 

Como JJ314 só compartilhou o modelo no formato .dae (Digital Asset Exchange) – um tipo de arquivo usado para armazenar modelos 3D baseado na especificação COLLADA, que facilita o compartilhamento e transferência de dados 3D entre diferentes softwares de modelagem, animação e jogos –, precisei convertê-lo para o formato .obj para poder abri-lo no Pepakura. 

Isso me permitiu "desmontar" o modelo 3D e organizar as partes de maneira adequada para impressão em papel. 

Além disso, pude trocar as texturas e até modificá-las, criando novas opções de cores além das duas que estavam originalmente disponíveis. 

Durante o processo, aprendi algumas coisas interessantes no Pepakura enquanto trabalhava neste modelo simples.

Classic G-Shock Watch Papercraft In 1/1 Scale - by Casio Japan

Here are two 1/1 scale (life-size) papercrafts of the famous G-Shock watches offered by Casio Japan's official website. 

The models, one of the G-Shock 5600 and another of the G-Shock 6900, can be assembled in real scale when printed on A4 paper (standard in Japan and Brazil). I believe that the Letter size (American standard), being almost the same size as A4, will have the same effect. 

Casio's G-Shock watches are known for their extreme durability and resistance. Created in 1983, they were designed to withstand mechanical shocks and intense vibrations, making them ideal for sports and outdoor activities. 

Combining functionality and robust design, G-Shocks stand out for their advanced technology and unique aesthetics. 

The first G-Shock was created with the goal of surviving a 10-meter drop, withstanding water pressure up to 10 bars (approximately 100 meters deep), and having a battery life of 10 years. This concept was called the "Triple 10." 

One of the most iconic tests to demonstrate G-Shock's durability was conducted by the inventor, Kikuo Ibe. 

He threw G-Shock prototypes out of the bathroom window of Casio's building to test their durability. 

Later, he subjected the watches to even more extreme tests, such as being run over by a truck and frozen in a block of ice. 

Due to their durability and features, such as stopwatch, altimeter, compass, and shock resistance, G-Shock watches are popular among military personnel, police officers, firefighters, and extreme sports enthusiasts. 

Many models are specifically designed to meet the needs of these users in extreme situations. The name "G-Shock" means "Gravitational Shock." 

It was chosen to emphasize the watches' ability to withstand extreme shocks and impacts, including drops and intense vibrations, which are influenced by gravitational forces. 

Thus, "G-Shock" represents the durability and resistance of Casio watches against adverse conditions and harsh environments.

Aqui estão dois papercrafts na escala 1/1 (tamanho real) dos famosos relógios G-Shock oferecidos pelo site oficial da Casio do Japão. 

Os modelos, um do G-Shock 5600 e outro do G-Shock 6900, podem ser montados na escala real quando impressos em folhas de papel no formato A4 (padrão do Japão e do Brasil). Creio que o formato Carta (padrão americano), por ser quase o mesmo tamanho do A4, o efeito seja o mesmo.
