In October 2021, I posted here on the blog a first reference to the Zombie Grinder (link at the end of this post), a papercraft of an armored and armed vehicle made for survival in a hypothetical post-apocalyptic world.
Like so many other models, I ended up leaving it for later and ended up forgetting, but last night I completely lost sleep and was looking through my hard drive and found the 3D model of this car that I had created in Sketchup.
To pass the time I decided to "tinker" with it and, almost without realizing it, I ended up breaking down the templates in Pepakura, saving the parts in .BMP format and creating details, such as "rivets and metal plates" in MsPaint.
The pieces took up three sheets and after being printed on beautiful beige recycled paper, I spent the night cutting out and assembling everything. To my surprise, assembly was easy and everything fit perfectly.
The way I created this template allows a lot of freedom for customizations. Once assembled, the Zombie Grinder was in an approximate scale of between 1/18 and 1/20, and I printed the sheets on A4 paper.
Today I leave here some photos of the assembled model. By the end of this week I will publish the templates for download.

Como tantos outros modelos, eu acabei deixando para depois e acabei esquecendo, mas noite passada eu perdi completamente o sono e fiquei vasculhando meu HD e achei o modelo 3D desse carro que havia criado no Sketchup.
Para passar o tempo resolvi "mexer" nele e, quase sem perceber, acabei desmembrando os templates no Pepakura, salvando as peças em formato .BMP e criando detalhes, tais como "rebites e placas de metal" no MsPaint.
As peças ocuparam três folhas e depois de impressas em um belo papel reciclado bege, passei a madrugada recortando e montado tudo. Para minha surpresa, a montagem foi fácil e tudo se encaixou perfeitamente.
O modo como criei este modelo permite muita liberdade para personalizações. Depois de montado, o Zombie Grinder ficou em uma escala aproximada entre 1/18 e 1/20, sendo que eu imprimi as folhas em papel A4.
Hoje deixo aqui algumas fotos do modelo montado. Até o final dessa semana publico os templates para download.
