From Studio Ghibli, here is the Nekobasu, or Cat Bus, in a nice paper version created by designer Podragon. According Wikipedia, The Catbus is a character in the Studio Ghibli film My Neighbor Totoro, directed by Hayao Miyazaki. It is a large creature, depicted as a grinning male cat with a hollow body that serves as a bus, complete with windows and seats coated with fur, and a large bushy tail. The character's popularity has led to its use in a spinoff film, toys for children, an art car, and being featured in a museum, among other products and influences. A door magically appears when a person would like to board it to travel. With its multiple caterpillar-like legs, it runs, flies, bounces, and hops across forests and lakes to reach its destination, making whole rice fields sway in its wake. Its eyes shine a yellow light brightly like headlamps to guide it. Mice with glowing eyes suspended next to its destination sign on its forehead and from its rear serve as tail lights. It is visibly male. With its large elongated smile and its ability to appear and disappear at will, the Catbus is reminiscent of the Cheshire Cat from Alice in Wonderland. Often used to transport Totoros, in the film it makes an exception to help O-Totoro, the main Totoro, who is also the biggest. O-Totoro calls the Catbus and asks it to help Satsuki find her lost sister Mei. As Satsuki boards it, its destination sign changes to "Mei." After the sisters are reunited, the Catbus volunteers to whisk Mei and Satsuki over the countryside to see their hospitalized mother. After Satsuki and Mei return home, the Catbus finally leaves them, its body fading into the evening shadows.

Da animação japonesa "Meu Vizinho Totoro", do Studio Ghibli, eis o Nekobasu, ou Cat Bus, ou ainda Gato Ônibus, em uma versão em papel muito legal criada pelo designer Podragon. O Catbus é um personagem do Studio Ghibli do filme Meu Vizinho Totoro, dirigido por Hayao Miyazaki. É uma grande criatura, descrita como um gato sorridente com um corpo oco que serve como um ônibus, com janelas e assentos revestidos de pele, e uma cauda grande e espessa. A popularidade do personagem levou ao seu uso em um outro filme, brinquedos para as crianças, uma peça de museu, entre outros produtos e influências. Um porta magicamente aparece quando uma pessoa ou ser espiritual quer embarcar para viajar. Com suas múltiplas pernas, corre, voa, salta, e dá loopings entre as árvores da floresta para chegar ao seu destino. Seus olhos brilham como faróis para guiá-lo. Ratos com olhos brilhantes pendurados em seu corpo fazem o papel de setas e lanternas traseiras. Com o seu grande sorriso e sua capacidade de aparecer e desaparecer à vontade, o Catbus lembra o Gato de Alice no País das Maravilhas. Muitas vezes usado para transportar Totoros, no filme faz uma exceção para ajudar as crianças, a pedido de Totoro. Hayao Miyazaki, o criador de Meu Vizinho Totoro, disse: - "Adoro mostrar criaturas mágicas que só podem ser vistas pelas crianças. Como por exemplo o gato que se transforma em um ônibus, em Meu vizinho Totoro (1988). Isso saiu de uma antiga crença japonesa segundo a qual os gatos velhos viram espíritos que comem gente. E então mostro um gato que vira um ônibus, e engole seus passageiros…"
