Love Live! Superstar!! - Tang Keke Paper Model - by RageBurster

Created by designer and modeler RageBurster and originally published on the official Pepakura community website, this is the paper model of Keke Tang from the anime "Love Live! Superstar!!". 

Keke Tang is one of the main characters. She is a Chinese student transferred to Yuigaoka Academy, where she becomes one of the founding members of the idol unit Liella!. 

Keke Tang is known for her energetic and outgoing personality, and she plays a significant role in forming the group and their idol activities throughout the series. 

"Love Live! Superstar!!" is a Japanese anime series that is part of the "Love Live!" franchise created by Sunrise and Lantis. It was released in 2021 and focuses on a group of high school students who form a new school idol unit called Liella! 

The plot revolves around the girls facing challenges and competitions as they pursue their dreams of becoming popular idols. As is typical in the "Love Live!" franchise, the series combines music, friendship, and determination with the goal of entertaining and inspiring the audience.

Amazonian River Boat Paper Model - by Papermau - Download Now!

I drew this boat in 2018, and lacking a better name, I decided to call it the Amazonian River Boat. I drew it and ended up forgetting the sketches in some folder on my computer. 

While digging through my hard drive, I stumbled upon the Sketchup and Pepakura templates. So, I decided to finish it. 

With a week and a half delay, here is the paper model of the Amazonian River Boat, ready for download. 

The final template consists of 53 pieces divided into six sheets. I've labeled the pieces with letters, so assembly is straightforward: each piece fits with another piece named with the same letter. 

To make assembly easier, I've created a sheet with illustrated instructions, so I believe anyone who is genuinely interested in assembling it won't encounter many difficulties. 

As I mentioned in the previous post, I used 180g recycled paper that has a color resembling burnt cement, giving the model a nice appearance. 

This weight of paper provides the boat with a strong structure, but I think 150g or even 120g should suffice. 

Later this week, I will try to post some photos I took while assembling the model. Have fun!

Eu desenhei este barco em 2018 e que, na falta de um nome melhor, resolvi chamá-lo de barco do Rio Amazonas. Eu o desenhei e acabei esquecendo os rascunhos em alguma pasta aqui no meu computador. 

Vasculhando o HD, acabei encontrando os templates em Sketchup e Pepakura. Resolvi então terminá-lo. 

Com uma semana e meia de atraso eis aqui o modelo de papel do Amazonian River Boat, pronto para download. 

O template final é composto de 53 peças divididas em seis folhas. Marquei as peças com letras, então a montagem é simples: cada peça se encaixa com outra peça nomeada com a mesma letra. 

Para facilitar a montagem eu fiz uma folha com instruções ilustradas, então creio que quem realmente se interessar em montar, não encontrará muitas dificuldades. 

Como eu havia dito na postagem anterior, eu usei papel reciclado de gramatura 180 que tem uma cor que se assemelha a cimento queimado e deu uma aparência bem legal ao modelo. 

Essa gramatura faz com que o barco tenha uma estrutura bem forte, mas creio que 150 ou mesmo 120 gramas já sejam o bastante. 

Ainda essa semana tentarei postar algumas fotos que tirei enquanto montava o modelo. Boa montagem!

Geo Maru And Nunokawa Paper Toy Mascots - by Itogawa Geopark

These cute paper toys are the mascots of Itogawa Geopark, in Japan. The little globe is Geo Maru and his two colors represent the Itoigawa-Shizuoka Tectonic Line, that is a major fault on Honshu island that runs from the city of Itoigawa, Niigata Prefecture, through Lake Suwa to the city of Shizuoka in Shizuoka Prefecture. 

It is often confused with Fossa Magna which lies to the east. Recent surveys show that this failure has a 30% chance to cause a major earthquake in the next 30 years. 

The little doll is Nuna and she is based on the legendary goddess and Princess of Itoigawa, Nunakawa. 

She is a friendly, caring, and wise princess, with a great love for Itoigawa, the Jade Kingdom, and her subjects who live there.

Estes dois simpáticos paper toys são os mascotes do Itogawa Geopark, do Japão. O pequendo globo é o Geo Maru e suas duas cores representam a a Linha Tectônica de Itoigawa-Shizuoka, que é uma falha grave na ilha de Honshu, que se estende desde a cidade de Itoigawa, através de Lago Suwa até a cidade de Shizuoka. 

É muitas vezes confundida com Fossa Magna, que fica a leste. Pesquisas recentes atestaram que essa falha tem 30% de chance de causar um terremoto de grandes proporções nos próximos 30 anos. 

A delicada bonequinha é Nuna e ela é baseada na lendária deusa e princesa de Itoigawa, Nunokawa. 

Ela é uma simpática, atenciosa e sábia princesa, com um grande amor por Itoigawa, o Reino de Jade, e por seus súditos que lá vivem.

DRS Nuclear Flask Diesel Locomotive Paper Model In 1/144 Scale by Paper Diorama

Created by the talented design team from the Italian website Paper Diorama, here is a 1/144 scale paper model of the Class 20 DRS Nuclear Flask Diesel Locomotive, a British locomotive manufactured from the 1950s onwards, designed to transport special loads known as "Nuclear Flasks" or nuclear containers. 

It is operated by Direct Rail Services (DRS), a UK railway company. These locomotives are designed to safely and efficiently transport radioactive materials such as nuclear waste. 

Originally, these locomotives were part of the British Rail Class 20, and some were later adapted for the safe transport of nuclear materials, earning the name "Nuclear Flask" from the 1990s onwards. 

They are highly specialized machines with stringent safety measures to protect the environment and the population during the transport of nuclear materials. 

They are a crucial part of the nuclear waste management infrastructure in the UK, ensuring the safe transport of these materials to appropriate storage facilities. 

The entire model occupies four printed sheets, and although there are no instructions, the way it has been designed and the arrangement of the parts on the sheets make assembly almost intuitive.

Ela é operada pela Direct Rail Services (DRS), uma empresa ferroviária do Reino Unido. Essas locomotivas são projetadas para transportar materiais radioativos, como resíduos nucleares, de forma segura e eficiente.

Antarctic Observation Snowcat Vehicles Paper Models - by Oniya

Created by Japanese designer and modeler Oniya, here are four paper models of special vehicles known as Snowcats, which operate in Antarctica. 

The models are beautifully crafted miniature Snowcats produced by the Ohara Corporation to serve the Japanese Antarctic Research Expedition (JARE), whose research in the region began in 1956.

The snow vehicle, which is the only means of ground transportation during the wintering period in Antarctica, is built up through our long experience with each bolt exclusively made for cold resistance and reliability.

Criados pelo designer e modelista japonês Oniya aqui estão quatro modelos de papel de veículos especiais conhecidos como Snowcats, que atuam na Antártica. 

Os modelos são miniaturas muito bem feitas dos Snowcats produzidos pela Ohara Corporation para servir à Expedição Japonesa de Pesquisa Antártica (JARE), cujas pesquisas na região começaram em 1956.
