When You Design With Sketchup And Does Half The Work

When you make a simple sketchup project where the two sides of the models are the same, such as cars, planes, boats, etc, you only need to draw half of the model.
Then you simply copy the half made and paste it next to the original. Then invert that second part and join it to the first. That's it, you have a complete model. More soon.
Quando você faz um projeto simples no Sketchup em que os dois lados do modelos se equivalem, tais como carros, aviões, barcos, etc, só é necessário desenhar metade do modelo.
Então você simplesmente copia a metade feita e cola ao lado da original. Depois inverte essa segunda parte e une-a a primeira. Pronto, você tem um modelo completo. Mais em breve.

Like the last cart paper toy I posted here on the blog, this one was also made with Sketchup, Pepakura and some touches on MsPaint.

Não há muito a se dizer sobre este modelo. Apenas mais um paper toy bem fácil de montar, próprio para crianças, de uma "Kombi" Volkswagen Type 2 Conceito.
Como o último paper toy de carrinho que postei aqui no blog, este também foi feito com Sketchup, Pepakura e alguns retoques no MsPaint.

The Yellow Van - Creating A Papercraft Using Sketchup And Pepakura

I created this very simple papercraft of a yellow van using Sketchup and Pepakura.
For those who don't know, SketchUp is a computer program that allows you to easily create three-dimensional drawings and models, being useful for architecture projects, interior design, engineering and, although it wasn't created for this purpose, it's also great for creating papercrafts.
Pepakura is a program that transforms 3D models into paper patterns for assembly, being used mainly to create replicas of objects, costumes and cosplay. It "disassembles" the 3D model created in Sketchup (or another compatible 3D program) and transforms it into molds that can be printed, cut, folded and assembled.
In the first image of this post, you can see the model created in Sketchup.
You can see the various tools available in this program, there are many of them, and it seems complicated at first sight, but in fact, the program is very simple and intuitive.
A five-minute tutorial (there are many) on Youtube will teach you the basics of creating something simple in this amazing program.
In the second image, we already see the model opened in Pepakura and "unfolded".
At first glance it looks like a puzzle. This van, for example, was divided into 94 parts. Putting the parts together is not complicated. It might even be fun. Using the Join/Disjoin tool, each piece you hover over is highlighted and an arrow indicates where it should fit.
By double-clicking on one of the sides of the piece, it automatically snaps to the part corresponding to that side. Doing this successively little by little we see the puzzle take the shape of the van, but "disassembled" and already with the tabs that will allow the assembly of the physical model.
Just below, at the end of this post I leave the link to download the papercraft of this model, as well as the links to the Sketchup and Pepakura sites, where you can download free versions, which have fewer options than the paid versions, but can be used to take the first steps in the world of 3D modeling. Eu criei esta papercraft bem simples de uma van amarela usando o Sketchup e o Pepakura.
Para quem não sabe, o SketchUp é um programa de computador que permite criar desenhos e modelos tridimensionais de forma fácil, sendo útil para projetos de arquitetura, design de interiores, engenharia e, apesar de não ter sido criado para este propósito, também é ótimo para a criação de papercrafts.
Já o Pepakura é um programa que transforma modelos 3D em padrões de papel para montagem, sendo usado principalmente para criar réplicas de objetos, figurinos e cosplay. Ele "desmonta" o modelo 3D criado no Sketchup (ou outro programa 3D compatível) e o transforma em moldes que podem ser impressos, recortados, dobrados e montados.
Na primeira imagem desta postagem você vê o modelo criado no Sketchup.
Pode-se ver as várias ferramentas disponíveis neste programa, são muitas, e parece complicado à primeira vista, mas na verdade, o programa é bem simples e intuitivo. Um tutorial de cinco minutos (há muitos) no Youtube o ensinará o básico para criar algo simples nesse incrível programa.
Na segunda imagem, já vemos o modelo aberto no Pepakura e "desdobrado".
À primeira vista parece mais um quebra-cabeças. Esta van, por exemplo, ficou dividida em 94 partes. Juntar as partes não é complicado. Pode até ser divertido. Usando a ferramenta Join/Disjoin, cada peça que você passa o mouse por cima é destacada e uma seta indica aonde ela deve se encaixar.
Clicando duas vezes em um dos lados da peça, ele automaticamente se encaixa na parte correspondente a aquele lado. Fazendo isso sucessivamente aos poucos vemos o quebra-cabeças tomar a forma da van, mas "desmontada" e já com as abas que permitirão a montagem do modelo físico.
Logo abaixo deixo o link para baixar o papercraft deste modelo, assim como os links para os sites do Sketchup e do Pepakura, aonde vocês poderão baixar versões gratuítas, que têm menos opções que as versões pagas, mas podem ser utilizadas para dar os primeiros passos no mundo da modelagem 3D. A Simple Wooden House - by Papermau -The 3D Sketchup Version

Three days ago I posted here on the blog a paper model of a wooden house. Today I leave you with the same model, but now in the Sketchup version, which is the model that can be viewed and manipulated in 3D on your computer, through the free program Kimble, which is nothing more than the old and glorious Sketchup.
I particularly like the older versions of Sketchup (especially version 6) more than the modern Kimble. Sketchup seems much more intuitive to me and its tools seem much better.
But that's my opinion, the opinion of a layman who only uses these programs to create paper models.
In the links at the end of the post, in addition to the file to download the 3D version of the wooden house, I will also leave links to Trimble on the official website (look for the free version) and to the old Sketchup 6 (I had saved this one here and saved it on my Google Drive), so you can draw your own conclusions. Há três dias atrás eu postei aqui no blog o modelo de papel de uma casa de madeira. Hoje deixo com vocês o mesmo modelo, mas agora na versão Sketchup, que é o modelo que pode ser visualizado e manipulado em 3D em seu computador, através do programa gratuíto Kimble, que nada mais é que o antigo e glorioso Sketchup.
Eu particularmente gosto mais das antigas versões do Sketchup (em especial a versão 6) do que o moderno Kimble. O Sketchup me parece muito mais intuitivo e suas ferramentas me parecem muito melhores.
Mas essa é a minha opinião, a opinião de um leigo que só usa esses programas para criar modelos de papel.
