In April 2022 I posted here on the blog a papercraft model created by Japanese designer and modeler Shunichi Makino of the U.S.S. Reliant NCC-1864, a ship much loved by fans of the Star Trek universe.
Recently, a visitor named LOST-TIME13 let me know that the original download link was no longer working, so I did some searching and managed to find a new active link. In this updated link you will find the free template, made up of five pages, ready to print and build your own U.S.S. Reliant NCC-1864.
The Japanese designer and modeler Shunichi Makino also provides another link that leads to a very detailed step by step building guide for the ship, filled with photos showing each stage of the assembly.
Even though the text is in Japanese, the images make the process easy to understand. Star Trek began as a television series in the 1960s and grew into a vast universe of movies, spin offs and books, centered on space exploration, cooperation between different species and moral as well as technological challenges.
The U.S.S. Reliant appears in this universe and is especially remembered for its role in Star Trek II The Wrath of Khan, where its confrontation with Captain Kirk became one of the most iconic moments in the franchise.

Recentemente um visitante chamado LOST-TIME13 me avisou que o link original para o modelo estava fora do ar, então fui pesquisar e consegui encontrar um novo link funcionando. Nesse novo link está o template gratuíto com cinco páginas para montar a U.S.S. Reliant NCC-1864, tudo pronto para imprimir e recortar.
Além disso, o próprio designer e modelista japonês Shunichi Makino deixou outro link que leva a um detalhado passo a passo da montagem da nave, cheio de fotos mostrando cada etapa.
Star Trek é uma série de ficção científica que começou na televisão na década de 1960 e acabou virando um grande universo de filmes, séries e livros, com histórias sobre exploração espacial, amizade entre espécies diferentes e desafios tanto éticos quanto tecnológicos.
A U.S.S. Reliant é uma das naves que aparecem nesse universo, conhecida especialmente pelo filme A Ira de Khan, onde seu encontro com o capitão Kirk virou uma das cenas mais memoráveis.
