Occupying eleven printed sheets, this imposing paper model of the Parthenon in Greece was created by Japanese designer A&A exclusively for Canon`s website.
The Parthenon is a temple dedicated to the Greek goddess Athena, built in the 5th century BC. on the Acropolis of Athens, in Ancient Greece, on the initiative of Pericles, ruler of the city, designed by the architects Callicrates and Ictinos and decorated for the most part by the workshop of the sculptor Phidias, who also executed the chryselephantine statue (made of ivory and gold) of the patron goddess of the city, Athena Parthenos, present inside the temple at that time.

O Partenon é um templo dedicado à deusa grega Atena, construído no século V a.C. na Acrópole de Atenas, na Grécia Antiga, por iniciativa de Péricles, governante da cidade, projetado pelos arquitetos Calícrates e Ictinos e decorado em sua maior parte pela oficina do escultor Fídias, que também executou a estátua criselefantina (feita de marfim e ouro) da deusa patrona da cidade, Atena Partenos, presente no interior do templo naquela época.
