Retro Style Television Paper Model - by Papermau - Download Now!
When I was a kid in the 1970s, there were no video games, cell phones, internet, cable television and even the remote control, the microwave oven and the video-cassette were objects of desire unattainable for ordinary people, at least here in Brazil. The school works were made by consulting books in the library and schools sang the national anthem and swore to flag every day. Electronic games, only in Arcades. Taito and Konami ruled. Pinball machines left fingers smelling of cigarette. Here in Brazil Mad Magazine was read hidden from parents, the thought indecent and Playboy was sold with a black plastic covering the cover. Who led a Playboy to school was considered "the man". This type of television marked a good part of my childhood and this paper model is a way to rediscover some of that time where things were more simple ...

Taito e Konami reinavam. As máquinas de Pinball deixavam os dedos com cheiro de cigarro. Este tipo de televisão marcou uma boa parte da minha infância e este modelo de papel é uma forma de resgatar um pouco dessa época, onde as coisas eram mais simples...

ReplyDeleteAnd I love your description too... Here in France things was exactly the same, books for school job, no microwave, no remote... Excepted maybe for the anthem, the flag and the Playboy plastic covering. But very few dared to buy and bring it to school !
Well saw for the smelling cigarette pinball !!! :-)
A great thank you and hello from France ! Nice job all around the blog.
