An easy-to-build paper model of a Seismic Survey Truck, by Bolivarian Government Of Venezuela. The seismic trucks send shock waves down into the ground then special geo-phone receivers on the ground measure the time it takes for the seismic waves to bounce back.
Geologists use the resulting data to work out what sorts of structures are below the earth's surface.
Um modelo fácil de montar de um Caminhão de Ondas Sísmicas, do Governo Bolivarista da Venezuela. Os caminhões sísmicos enviam ondas de choque para o solo, em seguida receptores especiais no chão medem o tempo que leva para que as ondas sísmicas retornem. Os geólogos usam os dados resultantes para dscobrir que tipo de estruturas estão abaixo da superfície da Terra.
