Prehistoric Animals - Arsinoitherium Paper Model - by Katsuyuki Shiga

This very well done paper model of a Arsinoitherium was created by Japanese designer Katsuyuki Shiga Pinoart and is part of the "Prehistoric Animals" series. 

  Arsinoitherium is an extinct genus of paenungulate mammals belonging to the extinct order Embrithopoda. It is related to elephants, sirenians, hyraxes and the extinct desmostylians. Arsinoitheres were superficially rhinoceros-like herbivores that lived during the late Eocene and the early Oligocene of northern Africa from 36 to 30 million years ago, in areas of tropical rainforest and at the margin of mangrove swamps. A species described in 2004, A. giganteum, lived in Ethiopia about 27 million years ago.

Este modelo de papel muito bem feito de um Arsinoitherium foi criado pelo designer japonês Katsuyuki Shiga Pinoart e faz parte da série "Animais Pré-Históricos". 

Arsinoitherium é um gênero extinto de mamíferos paenungulados pertencentes à extinta ordem Embrithopoda. Está relacionado com elefantes, sirênios, hyraxes e os desmostilianos extintos. Eram herbívoros superficialmente semelhantes a rinocerontes que viveram durante o final do Eoceno e o início do Oligoceno do norte da África de 36 a 30 milhões de anos atrás, em áreas de floresta tropical e nas margens de manguezais. Uma espécie descrita em 2004, A. giganteum, viveu na Etiópia cerca de 27 milhões de anos atrás.

By the way, this model was originally posted here on the blog in June 2014 and nowadays Maiú is a grown girl and no longer plays with Littlest Pets. I am happy that she has grown up and I am sad that this time has passed so quickly and that she has to live in such difficult times. It doesn't seem fair to me at all ...

Esta é a Casa de Cachorro, um modelo de papel bem fácil de montar e que ocupa apenas uma folha de papel. Eu criei essa casinha para minha filha Maiú brincar com seus bichinhos do Littlest Pets. Baixe facilmente, direto do Google Docs. 

A propósito, este modelo foi postado originalmente aqui no blog em Junho de 2014 e hoje em dia a Maiú é uma menina crescida e não brinca mais com os Lttle Pets. Eu fico feliz por ela ter crescido e fico triste por esse tempo passar tão rápido e por ela ter de viver em tempos tão difíceis. Não me parece justo, de forma alguma...

This month PSN, the Playstation's official streaming and game sales service, offered a free game to its members and non-members to help them reduce the stress of staying at home in yet another lockdown. The game chosen was the 2016 classic "Ratchet & Clank", a space exploration and adventure game for all ages. So I decided to repost these paper models inspired by Ratchet & Clank, originally shared here on the blog in 2018. Have fun! 

By Italian designer and modeler Sandro, aka SmakkoHooves, here are the paper model versions of the Angstrom Darkwaters Weapons, from Ratchet & Clank Future: Quest For Booty, a Playstation 3 videogame. - To view and print these models you will need Pepakura Viewer Free Version (link at the end of this post). - Looking superficially at the open templates on Pepakura Viewer, I believe these paper models are on an approximate scale of 1/50.
