Half Life 2 - Garden Gnome Paper Model - by MooNFish Papercraft

This papercraft version of the Garden Gnome, from Half Life 2, was created by Russian designer Evgen MooNFish, from MooNFish Papercraft website. The Garden Gnome, also known as Gnome Chompski, is an object from Half-Life 2: Episode Two. While seeming insignificant at first, it is in fact part of a popular achievement which requires the player to carry the gnome to the final location of the game (White Forest) and place it within a Rocket - hence the achievement name: Little Rocket Man. - To view and print this model you will need Pepakura Viewer Free Version (link at the end of this post).

This is a school project and a great model too. Very diferent and unusual, offer several possibilities to improve the model.

Motte and Bailey castles, popular in Britain during the 11th and 12th centuries, typically consisted of a fortified courtyard (bailey) overlooked by a wooden castle built on a mound of earth (motte).
Berkhamsted castle is one of the oldest motte and bailey castles in Britain. 

William of Normandy granted the manor and honour of Berkhamsted to his half brother, Robert of Mortain, who then set about building a strongly fortified castle, constructed at the bottom of a dry valley where there were springs available to fill the moats.

Seaforth Stella Picture House Paper Model - by Armada Models

The Real Thing

The British Seaforth Stella Picture House was opened in December 1920 and was designed by the Southport architect, George E Tonge. It had 1.250 seats (stalls and balcony). It was independently operated until 1943 when it became part of Bedford Cinemas Ltd. It closed in July 1958, and reopened in May 1959 as a roller skating rink. The building was demolished in 1964 and the site was redeveloped as the Stella Shopping Precinct. - Armada Models - I am not sure, but I think this model is is HO scale (1/87 scale).


O Seaforth Stella Picture House era um cinema britânico que foi inaugurado em 1920 e projetado pelo arquiteto George E. Tonge. Ele tinha capacidade paea 1.250 pessoas, divididas entre a platéia e os balcões. Ele foi operado de forma independente até 1943, quando foi vendido para a cadeia de salas de cinema Bedford Cinemas Ltda. ele foi fechado em julho de 1958 e reaberto como pista de patinação em maio de 1959. O prédio foi demolido em 1964 e em seu terreno hoje em dia há um Shopping chamado Stella. - Armada Models - Eu não tenho certeza, mas acho que este modelo está na escala HO (1/87 de escala).

"Building work took place on the new police station from 1895 to 1897. The force policed an area of 21,139 acres with an estimated population of over 46,000, covering an area from Croxteth to Hightown. The station included a magistrates' court, weights and measures office, living accommodation, day room, drying room, cells, exercise and drill yards, stables and coach house. The first superintendent of the new county police station was the much admired John Cross. Seaforth police station was demolished in 2007, however, if you look closely, you will see that some of its features are echoed in the residential building that now sits in its place." - Armada Models - I am not sure, but I think this model is is HO scale (1/87 scale).

A Roman villa is a villa that was built or lived in during the Roman republic and the Roman Empire. A villa was originally a Roman country house built for the upper class. According to Pliny the Elder, there were two kinds of villas: the villa urbana, which was a country seat that could easily be reached from Rome (or another city) for a night or two, and the Villa rustica, the farm-house estate permanently occupied by the servants who had charge generally of the estate. Na Roma antiga, as villae (singular: villa) eram originalmente as moradias rurais cujas edificações formavam o centro de uma propriedade agrícola. Portanto, era uma propriedade ou residência de campo de um patrício, ou de um plebeu de grandes posses, ou de uma família campestre romana, onde normalmente se centravam as explorações agrárias de maior vulto, embora haja casos de algumas dessas propriedades que não tinham exploração agrícola associada. As vilas eram constituídas por três partes: Na pars urbana viviam o proprietário e a sua família. Era em tudo semelhante à habitação urbana dos cidadãos abastados. As paredes eram pintadas com motivos decorativos, por vezes de uma grande beleza e complexidade. The Giza Necropolis is an archaeological site on the Giza Plateau, on the outskirts of Cairo, Egypt. This complex of ancient monuments includes the three pyramid complexes known as the Great Pyramids, the massive sculpture known as the Great Sphinx, several cemeteries, a workers' village and an industrial complex. It is located some 9 km (5 mi) inland into the desert from the old town of Giza on the Nile, some 25 km (15 mi) southwest of Cairo city centre. The pyramids, which have always loomed large as emblems of ancient Egypt in the Western imagination, were popularised in Hellenistic times, when the Great Pyramid was listed by Antipater of Sidon as one of the Seven Wonders of the World.
