Hinakazari - Origami Paper Dolls Decoration For Kids - by Cochae

An easy-to-build little project for kids, created by Japanese designer Cochae, for Canon website, this is an origami version of a Hinakazari, a Japanese doll decoration displayed at the Girls' Festival, known as "Momo no Sekku" in Japanese.

Um projetinho bem fácil de fazer para crianças, este é um origami da Hinakazari, uma decoração de bonecas japonesa exibida no Festival de Meninas, conhecido como "Momo não Sekku" em japonês.

AGK Publications is a German publishing company that, in addition to publishing and selling paper models, also preserves the tradition and history of this peculiar hobby. Today I highlight this Battleship, a beautiful model originally published in 1915 (103 years ago!) by French publisher Imagerie d‘Epinal Pellerin, which has been preserved and is now made available to all thanks to the generosity of this renowned German company.

Hoje destaco este Encouraçado, um belo modelo originalmente publicado em 1862 (103 anos atrás!) pela editora francesa Imagerie d‘Epinal Pellerin, que foi preservado e hoje é colocado à disposição para todos graças à generosidade desta conceituada empresa alemã.

Some New Stand Paper Models For 1/64 Scale Miniaturesby Scale Model`s Stephan Schmatz

Here are some new easy-to-build stand paper models creatred by Austrian designer Stephan Schmatz. Stephan's models are specially made to be used as photo dioramas. I asked him to write some lines about him and his work and he kindly sent me the text below.

"My name is Stephan and I am from Austria (Europe). Of course I had modelcars when I was a child. I started collecting with about 6 years, with 10 years I switched to H0 scale and with 25 years I discovered photography as my hobby. After the birth of my son, about 4 years ago, I didn't have much time for photography anymore. When I played with my son and his modelcars I discovered that it would be nice to combine these hobbies and started with photographing scale models. This was just 3 months ago. I am always trying to give my photos a special touch, so I began downloading and building paper dioramas and paper houses (mainly from Papermau). First I printed them as they were, then one day I started to change some things and now I am developing paper dioramas completely "from scratch". I use various photoshop patterns for walls and floors. For the doors and the windows I am taking photographs of real doors and windows, and in the end I am putting everything together in photoshop. I think that should be enough."

Aqui estão alguns novos standes d epapel bem fáceis de montar criados pelo designer austríaco Stephan Schmatz. Os modelos de Stephan são feitos especialmente para serem usados como dioramas para fotos. Eu pedi que ele escrevesse algumas linhas sobre ele e seu trabalho e Stephan gentilmente enviou-me o texto abaixo.

"Meu nome é Stephan e eu sou da Áustria (Europa). Claro que eu tinha modelos em escala quando eu era criança. Comecei a colecionar com cerca de 6 anos, com 10 anos mudei para a escala H0 e com 25 anos descobri a fotografia como meu hobby. Após o nascimento do meu filho, há cerca de 4 anos, já não tinha mais tempo para fotografia. Quando brincava com meu filho e seus modelos, descobri que seria legal combinar esses passatempos e comecei a fotografar os modelos. Isso foi há apenas 3 meses atrás.Eu sempre tento dar um toque especial às minhas fotos, então comecei a baixar e montar dioramas de papel e casas de papel (principalmente do Papermau). Primeiro eu os imprima como estavam, então um dia eu comecei a mudar algumas coisas e agora estou desenvolvendo dioramas de papel "a partir do zero". Eu uso vários padrões de Photoshop para paredes e pisos. Para as portas e as janelas, estou tirando fotos de portas e janelas reais, e no final insiro tudo em Photoshop. Eu acho que já falei o bastante."

Hinamatsuri, also called Doll's Day or Girls' Day, is a very special day in Japan. Celebrated on 3 March, the platforms covered with red fabric are used to display a set of ornamental dolls representing the Emperor, Empress, attendants, and musicians in traditional court dress of the Heian period. This Hinamatsuri stand papercraft was created by Japanese designers Ayumu Saito and Craft Pocket were intend to be used with the miniature paper toy collection of animals also created by these telented artists.

Hinamatsuri, também chamado de Dia das Bonecas ou Dia das Meninas, é um dia muito especial no Japão. Celebrado todos os anos em 3 de março, as plataformas cobertas com tecido vermelho são usadas para exibir um conjunto de bonecos ornamentais que representam o Imperador, a Imperatriz, os atendentes e os músicos, com trajes tradicionais do período Heian. Esta stand de papel de um Hinamatsuri foi criado pelos designers japoneses Ayumu Saito e Craft Pocket e foi pensado para ser usado com a coleção de paper toys de animais em miniatura, também criada por estes talentosos artistas.

Mushi Mai Puppet Mascot Paper Toy - by Niku Mansei

Inspired by the Chinese Lion Dance, here is an easy-to-build paper toy called Mushi Mai, a kind of puppet mascot of Niku Mansei website. A lion dance is an important traditional type of dance performed at Chinese New Year, festivals, wedding ceremonies, and other celebratory occasions. The lion is said to repel evil and bring good fortune, and is a popular icon in China and towns around the world. In China, people of the same nationality speak in different dialects depending on the region they live in, and in the same way, the lion dance also varies in different areas. Broadly speaking, it can be divided into two styles: northern and southern. The northern style is performed mainly in areas in north China and features movements based on martial arts. The southern style, performed mainly in the south, is known for its acrobatic dancing style. This paper craft model is based on the southern style of lion dance, and has a main color tone of red, which is said to be a lucky color.

Inspirado pela Dança do Leão Chinês, eis aqui um paper toy bem fácil de montar chamado Mushi Mai, uma espécie de fantoche mascote do site Niku Mansei. A Dança do Leão é uma espécie de dança tradicional muito importante no Ano Novo Chinês e é realizada em cerimônias, festivais, noivados, casamentos e outras ocasiões especiais. os chineses acreditam que o leão afasta o mal e atrai fortuna, e é um ícone em várias comunidades chinesas ao redor do mundo. Na enorme China, pessoas de uma mesma nacionalidade falam em dialetos diferentes, dependendo da região onde vivem; do mesmo modo o Leão Dançarino tem diferentes estilos de dança. De modo resumido, podemos identificar dois estilos principais: o nortista e o sulista. O estilo nortista apresenta movimentos baseado principalmente nas artes marcias chinesas. O estilo sulista usa mais acrobacias em sua dança. Este modelo de papel foi feito baseado no Leão Dançarino sulista, e sua cor principal é o vermelho, que os chineses acreditam atrair boa sorte.
